Singapore Fashion Week 2006 (SFW06), the premier trade show for the regional apparel industry kicked off today.
Into its 19th annual installment, this year’s 6-day event is entitled “Gateway to Asia” and will showcase a series of comprehensive fashion-related trade exhibitions and trade shows featuring the latest designers’ collections including some of the more familiar names like Allure, Celia Loe, Daniel Yam, Francis Cheong and Perfect in Black.
One of its unique attractions is the international exhibition for intimate apparels and beachwear collections. Called ‘Intimate Asia’, the displays will include participation from a lot of brands, storming their way from 17 different countries.
All the trade shows, including The Designers Show (TDS), Apparel Asia and Intimate Asia will be held at Singapore Expo. And to capture a wider audience, the competition shows will be held at Raffles City Shopping Centre.
So make a mark on your calendar. This is the perfect time to find out what’s sassy and mod and brush up on your fashion lingo.
