Korean drama is hot, like the current favourite Princess Hour or Goong. But I don’t fancy the drama much because I think the story line is too fake. However, the ladies’ fashion featured in the drama is a different story.
I especially like the layered look achieved with leggings worn under Victorian inspired tops, umpire cut or baby doll dresses embellished with laces and embroidery. Like the pink dress and grey capri leggings that Min Hyo-rin wore in the episode telecasted last evening. Very hip and eclectic.
The layered trend with the leggings was sparked by the Hollywood stars quite awhile ago and has become so hot in some parts of Asia now. One department store in Japan reported that its sales of leggings have quadrupled compared with the same period last year.
And unlike the sporty image of stirrup pants, the leggings that started making the rounds this time have a more feminine quality. Besides knee length, black leggings up the ankle are also very fashionable. It would also be interesting to theme up with polka-dotted leggings; leggings with printed borders; and leggings embellished with lame, lace, or embroidery.
