Cellnique Pro Sebum Gel
Friday, 17 November 2006This is the first in a series of tips from female bloggers who are willing to share their pointers on beauty, fashion, wellness, or any products which they can vouch for. Today, we begin with Ashes of My Spellbound who is in her late twenties, has normal skin and currently obsessed with the Korean superstar, Rain.
Product & Usage:
I recently bought the Cellnique Pro Sebum Gel which is for removing black & white heads. I applied it every night on the areas where I have blackheads and after two weeks or so, my blackheads were gone! It is really effective and very easy to use. In fact, I only apply one pump instead of the suggested three pumps indicated in the instruction.
Price & Availability:
The product is from Malaysia and available at Sasa in Singapore for S$69.90 but it is out of stock at the moment. Reservation is needed. I got mine at a lower price from Watson in Malaysia though.
Testimony:
A lady customer walked into my office recently and said I was very pretty and did not look Chinese. She even asked me if I’ve participated in any beauty contest. I thought it might have something to do with this sebum gel that has improved my skin condition.

Hi, i’ve heard of the effectivenss of the product but not sure if the ingredients are safe and hopefully mostly natural? I have been using natural/organic products for 3 weeks now and my biggest problem is clogged pores.
faeryberry: I can’t remember the ingredients but the stuff was quite effective. Hey, if you have clogged pores, the product could be too rich for you. Which ones are you using? Btw, what’s your skin type? One way is not to use everyday and see if the problem still persist.

i am using JMO vitamin c, rosehip oil in the night, the keys sunblock, lavera facial wash, lots of clay from yoursessentially once every 2/3 days to purify skin.
i get alot of white heads. Dunno why. I have a half used cellnique but not sure if i want to use it now since i am using organic things.
Faeryberry: Whiteheads is a sign of too much sebum. If everything else remained unchanged and you’re seeing more of it with the new products you’re using, I suspect the culprit can be the rosehip oil or the keys sunblock as both are very rich. Try to cut down one of these like stop using the rosehip oil for awhile and see how. What is your skin type? If combination and oily, these are too much. You need to alternate. Or if your whitehead is only growing on your nose area, then don’t apply so much of the products on that area.

I find keys quite oily but rosehip oil absorbed very fast. like them alot though. think that my skin usually look better in the morning after i used them.
i think it might be the too much sebum thing. i got lots of milia seeds too from young. even burn them off at the NSC before. looking for something effective and natural that i can use to really alleviate it.
Faeryberry: If you have milia seeds, then be careful when using rosehip oil. I had milia seeds on my eyes from using it. So that’s why even though I quite like the oil, I use it only on my dry cheek areas these days.

oh yes, i have read your post on the milia seed. Thanks for the tip.
Faeryberry: Hey, you’re welcome!
