Dry shampoo for a good hair day
Saturday, 18 November 2006Here’s a secret to great looking hair throughout the day. Use dry shampoo. It’s what I’ve been using for the past 20 years to banish the grease that clings on to my hair and keep it looking fresh and light. Like it’s just been blown dry after a regular shampoo.
I believe most tend to associate dry shampoo for women in their confinement after a delivery, or for bedridden patients who cannot shampoo their hair normally. Even my hairstylist was surprised when I told him my trick.
I discovered this when I was in college and for the longest time, I was using a brand from Wella, which I believe is discontinued because I don’t see it around anymore. I have since switched to Klorane Gentle Dry Shampoo With Oat Extract (the one with nozzle) which is available at Guardian Pharmacy for around S$14. Despite the instruction which tells me to spray, I squeeze some of the powder onto my bare hands, rub it onto my hanging hair with my head down and brush it out after a minute or two.
Made with softening and protective oat extract, this dry shampoo isn’t drying. I have been using it for close to four years now and it has become something I cannot live without on a daily basis.

F@d: The dry shampoo is for greasy hair which have accumulated sebum over time. If yours is dry, you may not need this cos the dry shampoo will make it dryer.
