Estee Lauder Ideal Light Illuminator

Tuesday, 2 January 2007

This is a product recommended by my sister-in-law.  The Estee Lauder Ideal Light Brush-on Illuminator.  According to her, the application pen really covers up her undereye dark circles and skin blemishes, has long staying power and does not give her a cakey look even with her foundation on the entire day.  In addition, she likes the fact that it is in liquid form, and hence easy to control and apply.

When she showed me the concealer, I was pretty impressed too.  I think compared to my Christian Dior Anticerne Perfecteur Hyrdrating Concealer which is also a liquid formula, Ideal Light makes it easier to control because of the brush applicator.  Unless you release too much of formula and saturate the brush, it should not become too thick and difficult to blend.  In any case, my SIL said it’s easy to take off excess liquid by lightly tapping them off.

I believe Estee Lauder said that this product contains light-reflective Photo Optic™ technology and pearlescent powders which minimize the look of fine lines, wrinkles and imperfections. This probably explains why my SIL finds the texture ultra fine.

The concealer is fragrance-free, comes in seven shades and is S$42 at all Estee Lauder counters.
