Another over-rated product to me. Kiehl’s Lip Balm #1 SPF4 sunscreen petrolatum skin protectant. I had to try it since I’ve heard so much about this and it’s their best selling.
Never mind the unglam packaging and that it’s not a twist up, but having used it for awhile now, I’m now convinced that I dislike products containing petroleum jelly which by the way isn’t a much desired ingredient according to health and organic advocates.
In terms of texture, this lip balm is almost like a heavier version of Vaseline, which I’ve never liked. Plus I cannot use this with any of my lipstick. The combination won’t work well on my lips after an hour or so. Even when worn alone, I find it over moisturizing. And no, it was certainly just a dab I applied.
I think Kiehl’s Lip Balm #1 is good for those in colder climates or those with extremely chapped or cracked lips. As it says, it helps protect lips from the drying effects of wind and cold weather. But over here in sunny Singapore, I can do without this S$15 lip balm. At least not on my lips. Thank you very much.

I think Barbie Hsu strongly recommends this product. However, I tried it once & still prefer my Blistex Lip Infusion. Cheaper & more effective.
