Look refresh all day with face mist

I have another addiction. I love to spritz liquid on my face throughout the day and I’m not talking about tap water. These are face mist made from beneficial spring or mineral water bottled in nifty little canisters fitted with an atomizer mist sprayer.

More than just a quick pick-me-up, the face mist not only soothes and refreshes my face especially on a hot day, but actually helps to tone, hydrate and nourish my skin.  In fact, I would recommend every beauty savvy woman to include using this as part of their daily skincare regime.

Use it after you’ve washed your face, just before you apply your daily skincare range.  Spritz a burst of mist and let your skin absorb the water fully.  Then moisture and make up as usual.  Some of the instructions actually ask you to pat off the excess but I really prefer to let the skin absorb the mist fully.  I mean, why waste right?

In fact, I even spray on a light mist after applying my face powder to set my make up.  It really works wonder and enhances the performance of my foundation and other cosmetics I use!

Not only that, I spritz on the water throughout the day to keep my skin re-hydrated and look refresh all the time.

There are many brands of face mist you can use.  Of course, the contents are slightly different.  Personally, I like the Suisse Programe Bio Cellular Oxy Water which is available at Sasa for S$19.90.  I discovered that my face powder works so much better whenever I mist this oxy water on before application.  No more unnatural cakey look!

Shu Uemura Depsea Water is also great.  Just that the price tag of S$37 makes me think twice whenever I want to mist this on.  So I keep it mostly to just a few applications, especially before and after I apply my makeup and just before I turn in for the night.

For the rest of the day, I usually either spray on Vichy Thermalwasser-Spray or Avene Thermal Spring Water Spray, both of which are suitable for sensitive skin and cost only S$9.90.

But the most value for money face mist has to be Evian Brumisateur Mineral Water Spray.  I have a few of these at home to spray on almost every other minute.  Well…if I really want to.

I had tried Evian & Avene. However, I was told they could dry your skin if you do not apply moisturizer after apraying this on your face. I personally don’t find them effective except to keep me awake in the office during the afternoon when I feel sleepy. I prefer to pour some of my toner in a spritz bottle & spray it onto my face instead as it also moisturise my face & act as a pick me up.

I recently learnt that it is best to dab the mist away with a tissue immediately after spraying. Your skin will feel more moistened.
