Prada fashion phone by LG

Saturday, 17 March 2007

Sometime ago I blogged about Prada working with LG on a new mobile phone.  Well, it’s now already available in some European countries with prices starting from 600 Euros and will be retailing in Asia including Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Taiwan from late March.

And by the looks of it, the Prada Phone by LG (KE850) is a real breakthrough in the industry as it is an elegant mobile phone with the first complete advanced touch interface, eliminating the conventional keypad.

The slim candybar phone is ultra thin at just 12 mm and comes with an extra wide LCD screen that some say resembles Apple’s iPhone.  But beneath its sleek outlook, the phone hosts an array of additional multimedia functions, including an MP3 player and a music multitasking function for messaging. It also boasts an external memory slot, allowing the user to increase memory capacity for images, music and film clips.  Apart from that, the phone also has a built-in 2 megapixel camera and a video player.

Prada has put in a lot of effort to give the phone a very strong character and unique style going beyond exterior aesthetics to focus on the key elements of the user experience.

And you might like to know that the editors at CNET Asia said this is one of the most attractive handsets they’ve ever seen and that users will definitely be noticed when they use the phone.  In fact, they’re so impressed with the phone that they gave it an excellent rating of 8 out of 10 based on design, features, performance and support.

So fashionistas who are keen on being seen with branded accessories, keep a look out!

oh pretty and uber sleek! I bet it must be costly?

However I am not a LG fan and greedy me may succumb if it is a 3MP cam :)

msfairface: Oh I don’t know…the price isn’t released yet. But going by the European currency, it shouldn’t deviate too far.

  2. Angelia Says:

Should be slightly over SGD 1k I’m sure. I can’t wait for it to be launched in SG..:P

Angelia: Wahaha…you’re quite a gadget queen right?

  3. doris Says:

    So tempting!

Doris: Yeah…looks sleek and cool right?
