I’m not a lip gloss gal but I have to say that this stuff rocks! Sony CP Curvy Lip Gloss 501 Nude (最強の攻め唇). I don’t know how it’s achieved but my lips actually look really luscious with this gloss on. Even better than the lip plumpers. No wonder it is so popular in Japan and Taiwan.
I don’t have to use a lot of it and my lips look instantly fuller and in a natural way without feeling too sticky. No reddening, swelling or hot spicy feeling. No unsightly lip lines. Quite amazing!
It’s probably the silicone formulation but I noticed that a few of the ingredients in the gloss are botannical. Like soybean seed extract, matricaria extract, grape seed oil which are known for their anti-aging and moisturising benefits. And something else that caught my attention was titanium dioxide which is a key ingredient in sunblocks. Maybe it acts more as a pigment or thickener in this lip gloss, but I’ll like to think that perhaps it also acts as a UV reflector here.
Another plus with this lip gloss is that instead of the using sponge applicator that comes with most others I’ve seen, this one uses a spatula applicator which makes it easy for me to wipe my lipstick stains off with a tissue. So this will keep my nude lip gloss looking clean and I like to think, more hygenic too.
I bought the Sony CP Curvy Silicone Lip Gloss at S$22.90 from Basic Beauty at The Heeren Shops.
You can also get it online from various sources including beautygoodies.blogspot.com. Apart from the nude shade, the lip gloss is available in four other colours: corapink, mellow beige, milk pink and if I’m not mistaken, cinnamon.
And yes, it’s under THE Sony group which also has their line of cosmetics and skincare.

Wah.. you really try lots of different products hor.. so adventurous. I’ll buzz you if I try a new thing next time, then you can write a review about it!
Doris: No lah…not that many as other beauty junkies and I also don’t jump at new products immediately. So still quite conservative. But I do like to test out interesting looking ones.
But yes, very keen on writing out reviews on new products even if it is others who have tested. I have wrote a few entries that are about products tested by friends or relatives under VivaPicks before.
Ah! You beat me to this one! This is on my next to buy list. Have you seen a lip balm in a peach container at Basic Beauty? It’s apparently another good one.
DR: Not sure. Is it the Sana one? Anyway, too many items cannot remember liao…
Yup! Yup! I agreed, your lips definitely look fuller after applying.
So, this is a must try product for those ladies who want their lips to look sexy & kissable.

Hi!!
I love reading your blog. Especially I like to read your articles about Asian cosmetic brands / products, which are hard to find in the US here. a great inside opinion for me!
I also bought this Sony CP Curvy Lip Gloss last year. I love the glistening shine it gives me. It makes me look great in a photo! However, everytime I applied it on my lip, I had a very bad reaction nextday after. The itchiness, and redness lasted for about a week, then started to go away. I guess you probably don’t have this trouble. I wonder if any of your readers has ever experienced the same allergy with the little cute lipgloss.
BA: Hey glad you enjoy it here. I haven’t heard of anyone with a reaction to the lip gloss. I’m still using it and I love it a lot. Thinking of getting the other shades even. Perhaps the ingredients don’t agree with your lips. You got sensitive skin?
Hello!!! Yeah, I love it too. It evens out my lip, and even little lip lines. really a great product. I own the peach color one. Well, I got pretty dry skin. I sometimes use L’occitane’s Honey Comfort Mask too to smoothe pre-menstrual sensitive skin. I saw you write about this in a recent post. ( I wrote about this facial mask in my beauty blog too.)
BA: I want to buy the other shades! Love this gloss absolutely!
hello all,
i have really sensitive lips and i can’t wear most lipsticks/lipliners.
can anyone make a product recommendation for senstivie lips or a product that prevents the sensitivity?
