Immortelle Very Precious Cream
Monday, 16 April 2007“The Immmortelle is a flower that never fades and helps to preserve the youthful appearance of your skin.” That’s the promise under L’Occitane Immortelle range and I am glad to say that they do what they say.
I was given samples of the the Immortelle Precious Fluid and Precious Cream to try some months ago and I immediately fell in love with the lovely scent and their fantastic texture. But because I wanted something for my pigmentation as well as anti-aging, I bought the richer L’Occitane Immortelle Very Precious Cream instead.
Immortelle Very Precious Cream is said to be effective at stimulating and regenerating skin through the night, when skin is in its peak repair phase. It’s a highly-concentrated smooth-textured night cream which regenerates and firms to preserve skin’s youthfulness.
I love the rich nourishing texture and it almost reminds me of Creme de la Mer. Yet, unless if I apply too much, the cream penetrates into my skin very quickly and my face does not feel at all greasy. I cannot vouch for the cream helping to reduce my pigmentation marks but I certainly can confirm that it makes my face look softer, firmer, with more radiance and luminosity after about a month of application.
I believe the magic lies in Immortelle which is said to be a flower that never wilts, even after being picked. Used for centuries, these flowers produce an essential oil that boosts collagen synthesis, stimulates circulation, and enhances cell renewal. In fact, apart from Immortelle, the cream contains extracts from many other plants, vegetables, fruits and flowers which probably explain the lovely scent.
Immortelle Very Precious Cream is for normal to dry skin, and especially suitable for women into anti-aging. Because I have combination skin and usually the morning after, I find my T-zone particularly oily, so I only apply the cream on my cheeks and very sparingly on my T-zone. Use a small cosmetic spatula to dig out the cream and if you don’t want to apply too much, one way is to slap the cream together using the fingertips of both hands together first, then slap the cream on your face with your fingertips instead of swiping them on.
The 50ml cost me S$143, but with the results that I’ve seen, it’s worth the splurge. I also found out later that I can obtain it way cheaper at StrawberryNET.com. For those who are too worried that this is too rich, you might want to try Immortelle Precious Fluid instead.

This sounds good but the salesgirl was trying to sell me their sunscreen instead which apparently is their topseller.
DR: Yep. I was looking at it too. May give it a try after I’m done with my Shisedo. Only thing is I was a li’ worried if it can actually make the mark cos it lacks the 2 ingredients…

don’t know why, but I only love L’Occitane for its hand creams and hair stuff, never a fan of their skincare until I tried their Immortelle Eye Balm! Totally rejuvenating and I thought it got rid and prevented some of my fine lines too. You should try that as well.
msff: Their eye balm good eh? Will check it out! Actually I fell in love with L’Occitane after using their hand cream. Thinking of switching to use their range completely.

hey I’ve got a sample of the eyebalm so if you would like, let me know! I’ll just mail it over.
msff: Hey, thanks for the offer. But I’ll probably be dropping by the store again soon, so maybe I’ll just ask for them. Thanks again!

I tried a sample of the cream last night and gosh! it blew my mind! It’s AWESOME! Now I need to tongbang someone to help buy since I can’t get it here in Penang.
DR: You mean the Very Precious Cream? Or the Precious Cream? Cos a few months ago, they didn’t have samples of Very Precious Cream. But whichever, the quality is about the same. The fluid is also very good.

She gave me samples of Very Precious Cream. Awesome. Better than Shu Uemura Depsea Night Cream, better than Aesop’s Oil Free Hydrating Serum. It’s be far the best I tried and I’m soooo thrilled but nowhere can I get here! Hmpf!
DR: Glad you like it. I think next I want to try their body lotion…

[...] 4. L’Occitane Immortelle Very Precious Cream This cream has a rich nourishing texture which reminds me of Creme de la mer.
