Kiehl’s Line-Reducing Concentrate
Thursday, 31 May 2007
I received a sample of Kiehl’s Powerful-Strength Line-Reducing Concentrate sometime ago and was rather intrigued by the warm sensation it left on my skin upon application. In fact, the first time I used it, I thought my skin was burnt.
This product is formulated with one of the highest concentrations of stabilized pure vitamin C on the market — 10.5% and has the highest pH (7). The cream is said to reduce the appearance of wrinkles as effectively as retinol (vitamin A) products, but without the irritation.
And according to the company, with continued use over time, this treatment has a significant and progressive effect on marionette lines around the mouth and sub-orbital wrinkles in the eye area as well as other facial lines and wrinkles.
Well, it’s hard for me to tell any difference because I haven’t even finished the sample packet. After a few applications, my interest just fizzled out.
One, the smell is rather medicinal and second, I’m fearful of the warm sensation this stuff leaves on my skin. It sounds and feels so potent, it feels too unnatural for my liking. The only thing I like about it is that it gives my skin a matt feel, as though I’ve applied powder.
