Tattoos for beauty and fashion
Thursday, 20 September 2007You see a lot of it on celebrities; from Victoria Beckham, Drew Barrymore, Alyssa Milano, Anna Kournikova, Angelina Jolie to the ASOS sisters Barbie Xu and Dee Xu in Taiwan. What am I talking about? Tattoos of course! Which today is increasingly considered as a symbol of beauty and fashion.
And I’m not referring to those that are used to enhance your eyebrows, lips, eyes or moles but actual decorative body art.
Tattoos have existed for a long time really but there is a current resurgence in popularity and it is fast becoming a fashion trend with many women looking towards their favorite celebrities for inspiration to express themselves using this non-verbal but stylish form of body art.
However, some people are not keen on the idea of having a permanent tattoo needled on their body for several reasons. Fear of pain, prejudice or just plain fickle. For these group, they can look at getting custom temporary tattoo instead. With this, they can literally get a new tattoo every other day. How cool is that?
In fact, with a temporary tattoo, maintainence is low and there is no worry about the pain involved when you need to get it removed. And seriously, if we’re going to use tattoos to express ourselves fashionably, being able to get a new one every other day seems like a really hip idea!

you’re right. tattoos are making a comeback not only in Singapore but the world over. everywhere you go, you’re bound to see some ink.
it’s really a boost to the tattoo community in Singapore. hopefully people don’t get carried away with this old trend and start regretting.
anyhows, nice blog!
Noel Boyd: Yep, getting one done is easy. To redo it is painful. And thanks for your compliment.

i have been longing for a tattoo for years, but just don’t find local tattoo artist within my expectation yet. i wish for a ticket to Miami Ink
now that you mentioned it, i realised my last airbrush was 3 months ago, must go again
Lia: Wow you’re so hip gal! I wish I had the guts. One of my brothers did a tattoo on his arm when he was in his 20s and that was the first and the last in the family!
