How to prevent the growth of milia seeds?
Monday, 11 February 2008An irritating and somewhat ugly milia seed has grown on my right eyelid and it was such an eyesore. Was, because I finally had it removed yesterday. Before I share with you how I got rid of it, let me first discuss what is a milia seed and how I got one growing my eyelid. More importantly, I’ll also discuss how we can possibly prevent milia seeds from growing around our eye area.
According to information obtained from the National Skin Centre in Singapore, milia seeds are white or yellowish white skin growths often seen on the eyelids or temple. Sometimes referred to as superficial keratinous cysts and are also called oil seeds by some, most of them are small, hard and resemble millet seeds, but newly formed ones can be soft and look like a pimple without an opening.

Yun Eun Hye for Korean fashion house Joinus
Friday, 8 February 2008Those interested in Korean fashion may find some inspiration for sophisticated corporate wear through these apparel from Joinus modeled by Yun Eun Hye of the K-drama hit Coffee Prince.
The Koreans seem to favor contrast, which is achieved mainly through dark colors llike black, navy blue and red or silver metalics combined with colorful abstract geometric prints. They look good on Yun Eun Hye here but some of the designs are kind of dated to me. Remind me of the clothes from OG!
But I certainly love their shoes! Check out the pink one on the left bottom. Chic! And of course it helps that Yun Eun Hye has sexy legs to boot.

Do Frownies Facial Pads erase frown lines?
Thursday, 7 February 2008Okay, call me a sucker. I love quick fixes. I love products that promise me overnight miracles. I love products that require very little effort on my part. Even though half the time, I know they don’t quite deliver whatever they promise. And it was the sucker in me that decided to order Frownies Facial Pads from Drugstore some months ago. Come on, they’re cheap, and they look like fun anyway. More importantly, I have lines on my forehead that I wanted to get rid of without having to resort to Botox.

How to use face serum with moisturizer?
Wednesday, 6 February 2008In my article on tips to optimize your facial moisturizer, I mentioned the importance of leaving your toner damp before applying your moisturizer as the cream will help seal the hydrating benefits from the toner deep into the skin. However, if you’re using a face serum, when should you apply your serum and when should you apply your moisturizer?
If you’re using a face serum, you should also be applying on toner damp skin (unless it’s a prescription topical.) After which, you should wait at least 5 minutes until the serum is fully absorbed by the skin before applying your moisturizer in order to seal and magnify the benefits of the serum.
