Hi Vivawomen,I’m really keen in buying Bare Escentuals mineral makeup but i can’t seem to find it in singapore.I was just wondering if you know of any place in Singapore that carry this brand.Thanks.

    =)

Lina: I’m not aware of BE being available in Singapore. Sorry.

I tried some samples from nutshell which carries the Earth Beauty range of MMU. The powder wears very well, lasts well for me through the day (not easy as i have combi skin and work in a non-aircon environment)but I find the coverage too sheer. This is even so for their range with SPF15 which supposedly gives heavier coverage. I guess it’s good for those who like a casual look or a sheer to medium coverage.

Flym: A lot of MMU seems to have this coverage issue. For this group, it’ll be good for those with good complexion if worn on its own.

  6. Suz says:

I just received my samples from momominerals. Very disappointed as each colour is not even enough for one full application. Hard to apply as well as it is in a little ziplock bag (& it is all crushed in that bag during post, so u must shake it to let it settle to the bottom of the tiny bag) unlike everyday minerals which comes in a sifter container, just buy the brush. I really felt that I wasted my $10 on the shipping costs for my momo samples. Sigh, take it as a lesson. Should have research more.

Suz: For those samples in ziplock, I think it’s better to empty them into little containers otherwise it’ll be difficult to apply.

Hi! I just found this new site. It is selling pure mineral makeup from US! I have tried and like it. Plus, it comes in tamper-proof jars so I feel safe in buying from the site. Maybe you can try it as it is cheaper compared to bare minerals.

    Jo: What brand is that?

  9. Jo says:

Hi… that brand is Elegant Minerals. It is available in Singapore now… there is a blog available… it offers free delivery in singapore and they come in jars with sifters… so no mess at all… i enjoy using them n recommend my frenz too… want to share with you all coz no point wasting money buying expensive makeup and also paying for the delivery fee.

Jo: Okay, thanks! I’ll check it up. More companies are bringing in mineral makeup which is good. Like you say, save on the delivery cost.

  10. Jo says:

if you want the blog, it is 1nvy.blogspot.com

    Can find in Singapore?

Karen: Not sure…is this under Jane Cosmetics? If so, I think it’s not available here.

  13. Vivien says:

I just received sample-size from Natural Mineral. They imported from US. I have been using for the past few days. It’s really wonderful… Tried few brands i still prefer this blog. & Kabuki brush is incredibly soft. Can’t wait to receive my full size order.

  14. Vivienne says:

    Hi all,
I’ve tried this new mineral make-up brand in Singapore. Samples are in jars with sifters and price is quite reasonable too.

I’ve used the clearskin formula and its good for my oily skin. Just wanted to share my experience.

The brand is called Apotheke and can be found at apothekesg.wordpress.com

  15. Wendy says:

There is this shop on level 2 of Iternational Plaza. Called Rejuva Skin technology. I purchased my moneral powerder from that shop. And have been using for 3 years. Has anyone been to this shop and purchased the poweder before. Im just wondering how authentic the mineral powder is. Cos the different canisters of coloured poweder are on display.

  16. Wendy says:

Just to add on, the mineral powder canisters are on display and they basically scoop out the base and add in the various lighter or darker skin ton colours and all.. so juz wonder how authentic it is. So far no reactions, but i am looking for something better if not cheaper. It cost 68 bucks for 2 shallow tub, each with sifter. and im told to apply it with the sponge.
