Organic deodorant that really work

Nature's-Gate-Organics-Fruit-Blends-Deodorant

I have tried a few organic or botannical anti-perspirants and deodorants but they usually do not have good staying power.  In plain English, they suck.  Sukin Organics Deodorant which I reviewed recently performed better but fared badly in terms of usage.  So I was really skeptical about Nature’s Gate Organics Fruit Blends Deodorant which was mentioned in Health.com as an organic deodorant that work and leave you smelling sweet.

But girls, they’re right.  This deodorant rub on stick which is paraben-free with no aluminum but contains only 100% natural and 70% certified organic, vegetable-derived ingredients does work!

There are a few formulations and the one I bought was Nature’s Gate Organics Fruit Blends Persimmon & Rose Geranium Deodorant Stick.  It is gentle and uses a mixture of baking soda and certified organic fruit plus floral and herbal extracts to help neutralize odor with its natural antiseptic and anti-bacterial properties.  With no propylene glycol and no aluminum chlorohydrate, this deodorant is totally natural scents and keep our underarms residue-free.

Okay, I wouldn’t say it left me that shower-fresh feeling throughout the day but it achieved 80% of that.  I just have to remember to apply LIBERALLY!

Ingredients:  Vegetable Glycerin, Certified Organic Rose Geranium (Grown in Accordance with the California Organic Foods Act of 1990), Certified Organic Mint Allplant Essence (Grown in Accordance with the California Organic Foods Act of 1990), Sodium Stearate, Steareth-100, Certified Organic Pomegranate (Certified Organic by ECOCERT), Litchi & Persimmon Extracts (Certified Organic by ECOCERT), Sodium Bicarbonate, Certified Organic Extracts of Mallow (Certified Organic by ECOCERT), Linden (Certified Organic by ECOCERT), Rosemary (Certified Organic by ECOCERT), French Rose (Certified Organic by ECOCERT), Pansy (Certified Organic by ECOCERT), Certified Organic Aloe Vera (Certified Organic by Quality Assurance International), Glyceryl Stearate, Oleic Acid, Stearic Acid, Stearyl Alcohol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Sodium Chloride, Fragrance Oils.

Nature’s Gate Organic Fruit Blends is definitely good for those who are worried about paraben preservatives or are sensitive to formaldehyde.  I’ve actually tried Nature’s Gate Organics Lemon Grass and Clary Sage but I have to say, go for the fruit blend formula which cost about S$12+.

And those who are concerned about animals would be happy to know that this products is cruelty-free as it is produced without animal testing and with no animal by-products.

Anyway, I’m loving this and will definitely be buying it again.

i am always on a lookout for natural deodorant/antiperspirant. this sounds like something i’d want to try.

Tracy: Well, hope it’ll work for you if you do try it out. I would think the effectiveness might differ from person to person for something like deordorant too.

hmm interesting. i got turned off nature’s gate stuff the other time cuz their shampoos had SLS. o_O

where’d you get it? haha this is really extending my shopping list! d=

chenyze: Never noticed their shampoos. I got this from Guardian at Vivo. Not sure if it’s available at the others. Anyway, hope it works for you if you get this deodorant. A friend who got it the same time as me just told me it didn’t quite work for her. ?

  3. elleve says:

hey, i used this when iwent to the middle east for 2 weeks. it really helped. (= and i think my sweat scent is very mild with this. lasts fairly long too (=

elleve: Glad it worked for you. I’m really worried whenever I review products like this, cos it may work for me, but not for others…

  4. roz says:

oooh where did you get this from??

roz: I got it from our local Guardian pharmacy.

  5. Tym says:

Does this leave any residue? It shouldn’t, if it has no alumninium, but I just thought I’d ask …

    Tym: No, it doesn’t.

Will this last if I store it for quite long? Cos I am a really slow consumer. Products that are said to be enough for only 3 months, I will only finish it after some 8 months. And my current deodorant turned bad, with the sour smell when I’ve only completed 2mm of it. =(((

  7. sesame says:

If it’s natural and organic – usually 3 to 6 months.

  8. Tess says:

My problem is that regular deodorants turn my underarm skin black. I switched to Salt Crystal deodorant and my skin color went back to normal. The problem is I need ANTIPERSPIRANT. I don’t have a problem with odour. Is this product antiperspirant as well as deodorant??
I saw a chamomile and lemon verbena at vita Health that I am tempted to try.

  9. Kira says:

Hi! Same quetion, is this an antiperspirant as well? Does it stain clothing? ?

  10. Jenny says:

face naturals organic deodorants are amazing! It’s a deodorant stick you apply and rub in with your fingers. It’s pretty cool when you try it. They smell so pure and don’t have any harmful chemicals or synthetic ingredients. I have tried just about every natural and organic deodorants in the market and face naturals is the best by far.
