I am using the Maybelline brand too because it is the only color that works well on me. I have yellowish skin.

The Maybelline brush feels like a dishwasher scrubber. I tried to use a blusher brush which was soft but it picked up too much powder at one time and wouldn't spread well on my face.

I tried the Body Shop mineral foundation powder but it was pinkish so didn't like it. The brush felt good but at $40+ just for brush, it was expensive.

Balwinder: Hey, glad Maybelline is working for you. Yup, totally agree with the brush. I guess with the price they're offering, it's hard to get a decent brush. As for TBS, I can't bring myself to pay that $ for the brush when I can get it much cheaper online but I had no idea that their powder is more pinkish. That wouldn't suit me either.

Got this Maybelline Pure Minerals blush when I was in Singapore. I can say I love it, only that the brush is not working (like L'Oreal). I do agree we have to buy a separated brush (BodyShop has a good one-- even though I find its minerals powder isn't that good and doesn't worth the high price).
The Maybelline blush on, i like the True Peach shade because it has no glitters (I don't like glitters and blushes of BodyShop and L'Oreal have them).
But anyway, I read the ingredients and found it has Talc as well.

Dian: Hey, glad the Mabelline blush works well for you. I guess it really depends on individual skin type. Anyway, ditto what you said about glitters. I don't like them either especially cos my face tends to get oily during the day.

Thanks for telling me that. I couldn't find the ingedients online for Maybelline Pure Minerals. I was told at the store that it didnt contain that ingredient. Any case, this is the only one that hasn't broken out my skin, so I think i'll stick with it.

Lori: Though it has the ingredient, the formulation is different and looks like it agrees with your skin so that's good. Anyway, if you're interested, these are the ingredients in Maybelline Pure Minerals obtained from drugstore.com.

Zinc Oxide, Polyethylene, Boron Nitride, Dimethicone, PTFE, Synthetic Wax, Acrylates Copolymer, Lauroyl Lysine, Cetyl Dimethicone, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Trimethylsiloxysilicate, Trisocetyl Citrate, Isopropyl Titanium Triisostearate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Panthenol, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, May Contain (+/-):, Mica, CI 77891 (Titanium Dioxide), CI 77163 (Bismuth Oxychloride), CI 77499, CI 77492, CI 77491/Iron Oxides, CI 77007 (Ultramarines)

I've tried a few different mineral foundation products, one being bare essentials. After using this product a couple of times, I noticed my face breaking out. I did some research and there's an ingredient present in most mineral make up called bismuth oxychloride. It has the same chemical properties of arsenic and is a cheap filler that cosmetic companies use. I'm currently using Maybelline Pure Minerals and love it, i've had no problems what so ever.

Lori: Maybelline Pure Minerals contain bismuth oxychloride as well. Maybe this is not the ingredient that irritated your skin under Bare Essentials.
