i'm going to have to pick up that book also :D i've been currently using a rose oil from DHC. would you consider rose oil to be beneficial for your skin?

Andrea: Definitely! I'm hunting for one too. Rose oil is suitable for all skin types and good for dry, sensitive or aging skins. It has a tonic and astringent effect on the capillaries plus great for emotional well-being! I'm going to check out DHC that you've mentioned. :)

I do agree that a good cleansing and moisturising regime is nec for keeping acne and fine lines at bay.

I have combination skin but more towards "oily" and I realised that if I'm more generous with my moisturiser at night, my skin doesn't break out as much, and it also applies to other acne prone parts of the body, like back and chest.

I love Avene's Trixera and it may be too thick for Singapore's weather, it's perfect for winter in Tokyo where I live. :)

astrorainfall: Interesting...what you say the moisturizer does for your oily skin.

im using Aerlis clarifying essential oil, made of ylang ylang and..lavendar or something. Supposed to clear up blemish-prone skin and calm down the skin. love the scent, very calming and soothing. and amazingly, being essential oil, it is not oily at all!

prettybeautiful: Oh, thanks for letting me know. I'll have a look at this particular line of essential oil!

i totally agree on the importance of cleansing. only recently i started cleansing really carefully. ( i was lazy previously and suffered enough consequences) now at night, i use cleansing milk then gel. and oh, i use essential oil before toner for night and day, feels great on skin, and marks are less obvious now. :) only after about 10 days of use ^_^

prettybeautiful: Hey, what essential oil are you using? I'm keen to know! :)
