Must you match your nail polish colors?

I’m not really a waitress. That’s the color of this OPI nail polish that I frequently use on my toenails. It’s a vibrant rich red color, and very befitting as an auspicious color for Chinese New Year.
Since I had some interesting comments from my post about matching bra and panty, I want to find out from you ladies if it’s necessary to wear matching colors on your fingernails and toenails. Do you ever wear different colors?
I did it a few times. I picked a deep color for my toenails and a silver shade of nail polish for my fingernails. Or I stuck to a French manicure. I figured out that if I can wear different colors for tops and bottoms, it shouldn’t be a problem for my nails. I’m not certain if the idea is normal or odd though.
Okay, I hope all of you are having fun. I’ll be heading off to my mum’s to have a gathering with my siblings and nephews soon.

I don’t wear anything on my toes. My feet are kind of ugly so I don’t like to draw attention to them! btw, that is a BEAUTIFUL colour, it’s absolutely luscious!
Mo: Thank you! I love this color very much… I’m the opposite of you. I can’t leave my house without wearing some colors on my nails. Feel kind of naked…

It is ok if it’s not like outrageous difference, like orange on toes and pinks for nails…I match it most of the time as I usually do nail art, but basically it is ok

First off, that is one of my favorite nail polish shades ever!
I wear different colors on the nails and toes majority of the time. Usually darker on the toes, lighter on the nails. But I choose colors that complement each other.
melvel: Lovely shade isn’t it? Yeah…that’s what I do too – darker for toenails and lighter for fingernails. But I rarely wear anything on my fingernails actually.

They are always different. Right now, it’s OPI Curry Up on the toes, NYX Meeso – a copper – on the fingers. The Curry is a light gold, so there IS a theme going on!

Hey thats such a pretty color, garnet red is my lucky color but I rarely paint my nails, I like it nude or I go for French Manicure. But when I was in college I used to wear black, yellow and what not and my friends used to think I was crazy,lol. Your color looks lovely and I am thinkng of painting my nails now:)

And I use transparent shade on my toe nails:)
Leon: I’m the opposite. I’ll prefer a transparent shade on my fingernails but something deep on my toenails…

the color is so even and no bumpy surface. i lurrrvve red toes 
i love mix-matching finger and toe colors. lol.

Nope, I don’t match nail colours for my fingers and tooties. I like a neutral, boring shade on my fingers, but blues, greens, reds, hot pinks etc etc on my toes!

can i wear Beige on my fingrnails and red on toenails ,i would prefer to wear red on my toenails it is soo sexey

It’s really your personal choice. If you feel comfortable, why not?

Yes, I like matching them. Either they will be the same colour, or the toenail will be a darker shade of the same colour.

I wear diff ones all the time when I can’t decide what color I want to wear.

Usually I like french pedi,and fingernails too, but not always, change to some pink or clear colo on finger.

i went a little crazy with my nail polish
i painted a gold/copper color on my toes and a deep red mauve on my fingers
should darker colors always be on the feet?

Well, no hard and fast rule. It all depends on your preference.
