I would never have picked up the Lavera Young FACES Mint Blemish Stick & Concealer if not for the S$7 promotion because the original price of S$25 is plain expensive to me. Moreover, I had thought the Young FACES series were definitely not suitable for me since the products are for younger skin. But as it turned out, this Mint Blemish Stick is quite an effective acne spot treatment even for mature skin!
Antiseptic properties with tea tree and peppermint oils
Described as suitable for oily and acne-prone skin, this blemish stick has great antiseptic properties with its combination of tea tree and peppermint oils. I wasn’t expecting too much the first time I used it but surprisingly, it got rid of an emerging pimple on my hairline overnight. However, I didn’t have much luck with it getting rid of the other fully developed acne that quickly. It did help to reduce acne inflammations and reduce their sizes tremendously but some of the blemishes haven’t cleared up completely. But compared to the other acne treatments that I’ve tried, this works rather quickly and I would say it is an effective blemish stick especially for new spots that are popping up.
A concealer on top of its anti-blemish properties
What I also like about the Lavera Young FACES Mint Blemish Stick is that it is also a concealer which blends easily and works well on my fair skin tone. No problem to wear it alone or under makeup. It has a slightly minty smell and I feel a slight tingling sensation when I use this on my skin too.

Long lasting blemish stick
Overall, I do like this blemish stick because it works rather well for me. At least I am no longer bothered by my acne very much after I started using this stick. The 15oz stick resembles a lipstick and will probably last me quite awhile. At S$7, I would rate it a worthy buy. At S$25 though, I’m not too sure because I haven’t tried others to be able to compare its effectiveness. However, if you’re interested to try, you might like to know that is available at a slightly cheaper price of S$17 at LoveLula.
