I’m all for short haircuts. Well, I don’t have a choice really because my limp and thin hair texture doesn’t not allow me to keep my hair long anyway. I didn’t really like the pixie haircut until I spotted it on Zoe Tay. I thought it looked very sassy and chic on her.
There is a dearth of naturally formulated sun protection products available for us folks in Singapore. A few local readers have asked me for recommendations of natural sunscreens that are not greasy and also are readily available in our market. Well, there are two that I’ve come across recently and today, I’m going to review one of them – Living Nature Daily Defence With SPF15.
Heather posted a comment in one of my earlier entries asking me to do a post on my skin care regime. I actually planned to do a video post on that but in the meantime, I’ll run a review on the major products I use on a daily basis.
Except for my face, I’m all for using soaps. Handmade natural ones that is. I started with Yuan soaps for my body and while I do like them a lot, but they all come with a strong herbal smell. While I do not mind that, but I definitely prefer something more exciting especially while showering in the mornings. In addition, I was also on the lookout for a soap to use on my hair. I’ve had some luck many years ago with Lush soaps, but they’re no longer available here. So I was quite excited to chance upon a spree for Chagrin Valley all natural handmade soaps and shampoo bars. The prices also seem reasonable – comparable to the Yuan soaps! Plus some of them smell really heavenly too!
By now, most of you are already aware that you should be looking for a sunscreen that offers broad spectrum protection against UVA and UVB rays. However, until the new rating system for UVA protection comes into effect, we can’t tell for sure if the sunscreen we purchase really offers protection as it claims unless we examine the ingredient list. So what are the effective active ingredients in sunscreens that will protect us from both UVA and UVB rays?
