Natural Beauty Inside Out
I have always wanted to try Burt’s Bees Hand Salve but wasn’t so keen to get the full size. So I was happy to find a smaller size at 0.30 oz available at Sephora in ION Orchard for S$6 only. Before buying this product, I had the misconception that this product is like a hand cream but I realized that it is not. It is actually an ointment!
I get the general feeling from our local media that dermatologists and aesthetic doctors as a whole are not keen on natural or organic skin care products. A dermatologist I consulted awhile back even snubbed at my choice of using such products, labelling them as useless. So I was surprised to learn of organic and natural products that are endorsed or created by medical skin care professionals.
I was happy to learn that we are now getting more professional hair coloring options here in Singapore. Apart from the established brands like Wella and L’oreal, we now have newer brands like Eva Professional from Spain that offer lower ammonia content. For once, I didn’t smell like cat’s pee right after a coloring session. In fact, there was hardly a trace of the smell even when the colors were being applied on my hair!
I love using Kabuki brushes to apply my foundation, whether I am using mineral or compact powder. They work better than sponges for me. I have Kabuki brushes using animal as well as synthetic hair. I alternate between the two, loving them for different reasons. Today, I like to make a comparison of the two based on some common properties.
When it comes to online shopping, I buy more beauty items, jewelry and accessories. Other than safe items like tees, I hardly shop for clothes online unless it’s an absolute bargain, or the design is gorgeous.
Recently, I ordered some pieces via a spree because the deal was good and the designs seem fine when I view them online. However, one of the pieces looked like trash when I finally got my hands on it. I guess the model just managed to carry it well.
