Natural Beauty Inside Out
TGIF! It’s been awhile since I issue a Viva Challenge and since I’m so into hormones this week, so today I challenge you to go grab a bib and fantasize about some sexy, hot men! Yes, I’m not kidding! Every time I flip the pages of any fashion or beauty magazines, the advertisements scream out to me “buy me, try me, use me!” And believe it or not, I was actually a dupe for such adverts just eight months ago. Even now, these adverts still scream out to me, but I have more self restrain as I go by the organic set of rules for any skincare or makeup purchases. If the product advertised is not organic or even natural, I will only read the advert, and then turn the page without having second thoughts if I should pop by the stores to check them out.
Apart from some hormonal chin acne in the past, I never really had to battle with major acne issues. However, since last year, my skin condition started to deteriorate and suddenly, horrors of horrors, I was developing acne rather frequently.
We’ve recently taken to eating avocados at home, under the influence of my mom. I noticed that her skin was looking firmer after she started taking this fruit consistently for a few weeks and found out that it’s because the fruit is rich in monounsaturated fat and essential fatty acids, including omega 3 and 6 fats.
Over the weekend, I was at Parkway Parade and when I stepped into one of the pharmacies, I noticed that their organic skin care products were were placed on brightly lighted display stands. And when I picked up a few of the products at the front rows, they felt very warm. The white lights must have “heated” them up!
