I was pretty riled up when I read ParisB’s post about Kiehl’s Acai Berry Organic Skincare being available in Malaysia because I spotted alcohol denat as one of the ingredients in the range. In both its Acai Damage-Protecting Toning Mist and Acai Damage-Minimizing Cleanser, the ingredient is fourth on the list! It’s listed as an ingredient from organic farming but I’m not so convinced it needs to be so high up in the ingredient list, especially in an organic range that is certified under ECOCERT and said to be of 100% natural origin.
Review: DHC Camu-Camu Essence & Masks

This is a guest review by Jyoan of Positively Nice. The products she tested were sent complimentary by Watsons.

I was elated when I learned that DHC was going to be available here – as like many girls out there, I have also heard of the incredibly famous DHC Olive Cleansing Oil. I am a fan of cleansing oils, and I don’t mind another bottle to try, especially since the Olive Cleansing Oil is known to be gentle on the skin, yet very effective. However, here I’m reviewing DHC’s products outside of their Olive range and they are:
1. Camu-camu Whitening Essence
2. Suncut Q10 Sheets Body
3. Coenzyme Q10 Pack Sheet
Organic Apoteke Rejuvenating Eye Cream
I bought the Organic Apoteke Rejuvenating Eye Cream sometime during the GSS and haven’t really used it consistently. I tried it for three weeks and then stopped for awhile before resuming again on some days. Moreover, because of the formulation, I could only used this eye cream in the night so the results that I’m going to discuss here are not entirely representative.
Japanese matt powder for soft hair styling
My hairstylist was raving about this new Matt Powder from Japan and how it was quickly snapped up at his salon and the whole of Singapore when it was introduced into the market. And due to the hot demand, the price has risen from S$12 to S$15 for the second shipment.
Anyway, this is supposed to work like a hair styling gel, except that it’ll create a soft matt style. Just sprinkle a small amount of powder into your palms and rub together. Rake through dry hair and lift into style for a matt finish and natural touch.
Viva Challenge: stay happy to feel beautiful

This is my last challenge for the year and I thought that it’s a good time to sum up what I always believe in – be happy and you’ll feel beautiful. Well, what inspired me to post this challenge is because something unpleasant happened to me last week and in just one day, I looked like crap! The good thing about me is that I’m highly resilient and I bounce back on my feet pretty quickly. So instead of mulling away, I just picked myself up, went for the haircut I’ve already scheduled, and immediately, I looked and felt better. (A little retail therapy helped too.)
