When your fave product changes formulation

What do you do? Tear your hair out? Scream at the company? Gripe bitterly? Okay, I choose to gripe here. WHY? WHY? WHY?

I hadn’t realized that Marie Veronique Organics had changed the name of their sunscreens until I read a comment from Yings. She wanted to know if the new Moisturizing Face Screen Plus is the same as Creme de Soleil that I have been raving about. I knew they were revamping their website but I had no idea that they also revamped their product lines! And when I took a quick look at the ingredients, it looks like the formulation has changed slightly too as Moisturizing Face Screen Plus and Moisturizing Face Screen have 24% Zinc Oxide as opposed to 20% in the Creme de Soleil and Creme de Jour!

Do you like to use finishing powder?

I’m wondering if finishing powder is a common item in your slate of makeup products. As the name denotes, it is the final step to setting our makeup. I keep reading that it prolongs the wear of makeup, protects the skin, controls sebum production and visually minimizes pores, lines, and imperfections. In fact, some finishing powder are supposed to give our skin subtle luminosity. However, strangely, it doesn’t really work that way for me.

How much do you care about your man’s skin?

In a recent conversation with someone in the beauty industry, we spoke about skin care for men. She was lamenting that the sales of products for men are slow and the topic inevitably moved to why men don’t seem to bother about caring for their own skin. Actually, I think there’s an increase in the number of men wanting to care for their skin but unlike ladies, they probably prefer products that are all-in-one or at least convenient to use.
