Kiehl’s: The apothecary with an eco heart

I wouldn’t consider Kiehl’s to be a natural and organic company, although they have recently launched the Acai Berry Damage-Repairing Organic Skincare range. However, I like the company because they strike me as one that provides eco-effective quality products focused on efficacy without the embellishments. On top of that, they are probably one of the few who truly incorporate socially responsible manufacturing practices in their business operations.

Marie Veronique Organics Anti-Aging Oil Plus

I was very surprised to receive this bottle of Anti-Aging Oil Plus, complimentary with the samples of Marie Veronique Moisturizing Face Screen Plus from the company. I hadn’t mentioned anything to them, especially not that I’m quite fond of using oil on my face!

Do I really need to reapply my sunscreen?

By now, we’ve already established that it’s important to use sunscreen or at least a moisturizer containing SPF on a daily basis. However, another question that begs asking is, do we need to reapply every two to three hours as often instructed? In the past, I was under the impression that we have to reapply. However, I now understand that this depends on the type of sunscreen you apply, as well as your lifestyle.

Chocolate & coffee: bad for acne-prone skin?

There have been quite a bit of bad press that eating chocolates and drinking coffee promote acne. But the question is, do they? Awhile back, a reader by the nick of Loveless commented in one of my entries that chocolates do not promote acne and consuming about 10g a day would be good for our heart.
