Nail it: Eyeko fashion forward polish collection

I changed the color on my toenails as soon as I received these new nail polishes, sent complimentary by Eyeko. The three nail polishes I received are: Eyeko Tea Rose Polish, Eyeko Coral Polish, and Eyeko Vampira Polish. And the one I picked to use immediately? The lust-worthy glossy black lacquer dripping with blood red shimmer better known as Vampira! Coral is too bright for me but I do like the soft pink in Tea Rose. Anyway, I was so surprised that these arrived so quickly from the UK; it took just one week.

One coat perfect finishing
I came across Eyeko from reading some of the other beauty blogs but never took much notice as I’m not that much into makeup. However, I did read about their nail polishes and was curious to want to try them out. I’ve always been a fan of OPI nail lacquer but am quite surprised that the Eyeko nail polishes fare rather well by comparison. In fact, just one coat was adequate to get a good finishing. Very nice, especially since I tend to be lazy about painting my nails. The colors are rich and the reason why I like Vampira is because the it’s got some glitters in there! It’s a bit hard to remove though but if that bothers you, then pick the others that do not contain glitters.

Ingredients
I also learnt that Eyeko polish features a nail friendly formula that is Toluene, Formaldehyde, DBP and Camphor free. Here are the ingredients for Eyeko Nail Polish:

Ethyl acetate, Butyl acetate, Nitrocellulose, Adipic acid/neopentyl glycol/trimellitic anhydride copolymer, Isopropyl alcohol, Propyl acetate, Triphenyl phosphate, Trimethyl pentanyl diisobutyrate, n-Butyl alcohol, Stearalkonium hectorite, Diacetone alcohol, Dimethicone, Citric acid, Benzophenone-1.
May Contain:
CI 77891 (Titanium Dioxide), CI 15850 (D&C Red No.6), CI 77499, CI 77491 (Iron Oxides), CI 77510 (Ferric Ferrocyanide), CI 77000(Aluminum Powder),
CI 19140 (FD&C Yellow No.5), Calcium Aluminum , Borosilicate, Silica, Polyethylene terephthalate.

Choices of shades and price
There are altogether 10 shades of Eyeko Nail Polish available. You can look them up on this page of their website. I’ve to concede that the bottles are small though; each comes in 8.5ml at £3.50. The good thing about this size I will say is that you can use up the polish quite quickly as the bottle indicates that expiry is six months after opening.

Availability and promo code
Eyeko means LOVE in Japanese and they’ve got a very girlie appeal with their sweet packaging and cute products. Check them out at their website. The products are created and made in England and hence, UK and EU orders will be delivered free of charge. International orders will be sent at $7.50, but if your order is over $55.00, you’ll get free shipping. You can also join the company as a sales ambassador. The signup process is quick and I received a confirmation almost immediately! So if you’re buying based on this recommendation and like to make me some cash, you may like to consider using my code E10210 at the checkout. I was informed that you’ll get a free gift using that code too!
