DIY Beauty: Bentonite clay face mask *meow*

So that was exactly what I tweeted a few weeks ago, after reading the article about using kitty litter as a face mask in Urban. I had thought the kitty litter meant the kitty poo too. I later realized that it meant bentonite clay and coincidentally, I was just going to get hold of it as a clay mask that day. But seriously, does this stuff look like kitty litter?

Chinese beauty food to improve skin complexion

Being a Chinese means I do eat some of the exotic Chinese food for beauty on a rather frequent basis. Amongst these are the strangest looking fungi, herbs and roots. Even though the benefits of these are subjective and some of them do not even have sufficient clinical studies to back them up, I’ve been taking them quite diligently. Many of these Chinese herbs have specific benefits for our skin and today, I’ll show you some of the strange stuff that I’ve been consuming that have both beauty and health benefits.

Not quite wet & wild at Sands SkyPark Infinity Pool

Yeah, so I was being modest. How else can I explain that instead of splashing around, I was fully attired at Marina Bay Sands’ SkyPark Infinity Pool, the world’s longest elevated swimming pool at 200 meter in the sky? But I wasn’t at some mean pool party, and I certainly didn’t have Katy Perry to inspire me to be in some pale-pink bikini. HA. And actually, this is the first time I’m wearing my blouse all tucked in after so many years!

Makeup mess: bag organizer to the rescue

Guess what? After I posted about my little tote bag organizer, it struck me that I can use another one to organize my daily makeup items. I do my makeup in the toilet and have been storing the items in a cosmetic pouch. However, the cosmetic pouch has limited space and it was increasingly difficult for me to find my brushes or concealer. A bag organizer would be useful with the different storage pockets and the little handles mean I can carry it around without much hassle.

Product review: Bod White Tea Cleansing Gel

I’m done with my bottle of A’kin Sandalwood & Neroli Pure Facial Cleansing Gel and even though I had liked it and given it a 5 out of 5 rating, I decided to try something else. Well, the truth is, I need new stuff to review here. HA. So I went shopping at Watson’s and picked up Bod White Tea Cleansing Gel this time. I wonder why it took me so long because this item is only S$36 and the short ingredient list look agreeable enough. Plus, the first ingredient is a white tea extract – so bonus points there already!
