Share: how to combat yucky white film on lips?

Hello Vivabellas. I have a lip problem that I hope you can help me with. For quite awhile now, I can’t use lipstick and lip gloss for too long without having a line of white film from the lipstick or lip gloss accumulate on my lips. It is not dry or flaky but just a disgusting looking whitish accumulation that appear on the inside of my lips, the part where my lips are pressed together. This always happen when I’m speaking for awhile in an air conditioned room and it’s darn embarrassing because it’s so unsightly. I always have to rush to the toilet to scratch it off with water and my fingernails!

Can you use a cotton pad to exfoliate your skin?

Does this sound weird? How can a soft cotton pad do the job of exfoliation properly? I remember seeing a special type of cotton pad sold at Watsons for this purpose but here, I’m talking about the normal type of cotton pads. I use them about once a week to aid exfoliation.

Can I apply sunscreen around my eye area?

A number of you have raised this question to me so I thought I’ll take it together and address it here. Actually, I had this similar question many years ago and I raised it to a dermatologist. He was the one who got me obsessed about using sunscreen but guess what was his answer? “There’s no need to apply sunscreen on the eye area because that area would not get so much sun exposure compared to the rest of the face.” I didn’t show it to his face, but if he could read my thought bubble, he would have seen me blurting “WHAT???” Truly, I found his answer incredulous and of course I didn’t believe him; I would have been more convinced had his reason been something along the line that sunscreen can get into our eyes and irritate them.

Skin79 Oriental Smooth Sun BB Pact SPF25 PA++

I’m not a fan of Korean beauty products because going by their ingredient list, most of them are hardly what you can call natural cosmetics. But I literally dashed out to grab this from the nearest Watsons after reading Hazel’s rave on it. Something about her pictures made me wanted this item badly. And I was really hoping that I’ll get that flawless look after using this one. So did it make the mark for me?
