Bentley Organic Calming & Moisturizing Bodywash

I finally got down to purchasing a Bentley Organic product after having seen the brand around for months at Unity @ Suntec City. I was running low on my body wash and thought I’ll give their products a try since the price is pretty affordable. Available on the shelf were three options and I ended up picking up the Calming and Moisturising Bodywash with Lavender, Aloe & Jojoba.

Bentley Organic hails from UK and carries a range of body care, hair care, baby care and household cleaning products. Their products are Soil Association certified and their unique selling point is their affordable pricing as the company believes that organic products should be reasonably, not premium, priced. But other than the body care and baby care products, I haven’t seen their other products around in Singapore.

Calming & Moisturising Bodywash with Lavender, Aloe & Jojoba

Ingredients: Aqua, Potassium Cocoate**, Potassium Oleate**, Lauryl Betaine, Glycerin**, Sodium Chloride, Decyl Glucoside, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil*, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil*, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice*, Linalool*, Potassium Citrate, Citric Acid
* Certified Organically Grown Ingredient
** Derived from Certified Organically Grown Ingredient

This body wash is said to be made with 80% organic ingredients and contains lavender to soothe the mind, plus aloe vera and jojoba to soothe the skin. The scent is lavender – no qualms about that – but it isn’t as enchanting as some of the lavender products I’ve used before. In terms of the moisturizing factor, I find it average though because this body wash comes with four different types of surfactants and it lathers up very well, leaving my skin feeling squeaky clean each time. While I won’t say it is moisturizing, but thankfully my skin didn’t feel tight or dry using it.

Overall summary
Besides the fact that the 250ml bottle of body wash is quite affordable at S$11.90, there is really nothing exciting about this body wash. I wonder if the Deep Cleansing Bodywash with Olive, Tea Tree & Eucalyptus is a better choice because the scent is rather uplifting. Maybe I’ll give that a try next time.

  1. Thanks for the review. I was going to get this and now I’ve read your comments, I might actually get it.

    What sort of Vit A and C cream do you use when derma-rolling? I was going to buy a derma roller but my skin always has active acne… *sighs*

  2. I usually like Tea tree and eucalyptus, but The Hubs tends to think of them as medicinal. Thanks for leading the way once again & bringing another brand to my attention (“,)

  3. Hi,

    I have a dry & sensitive skin. The usual body wash (eg, lux, pamolive, & even dove) will dry up my skin & leave it itchy & flacky. I always have to use moisturiser after each bath but I normally do not have the time. I think about last year, I’ve read in SHAPE magazine that OLAY bodywash is a good mositurizing body wash (2 in 1) which is really true. Since using OLAY, my problems are all solved. My body feel moisturise, clean, smooth, fresh & smeeling good. However, recently I was informed that OLAY have stopped the bodywash production & now I’m back in searching of a new product which can help me. I tried CETAPHIL but somehow it does not have that “clean” feeling. Any suggestion?
