Share: er…let another female touch your bosom?

Recently, I was invited to go for a special treatment, which is supposed to flush out the toxins in the fatty tissues of the breasts using a combination of products and massages. Part of the objective is to keep the bosom healthy, and part of it is to boost them. Of course the therapist who will be providing the treatment is a female but I was quite uncomfortable with the idea. I think I might have gone for spa treatments involving body wraps and so I’m not that shy about having another woman see or touch my body but this is something else altogether as the focus is obviously on one particular area mostly, for a prolonged period.

The discomfort is probably akin to those going for a Brazillian wax but the feeling might be a little different considering that someone going for a Brazillian wax probably have more fear of possible pain, rather than embarrassment. In fact, I don’t think the breast treatment is painful as the process involves cleansing, massaging and nourishing and it’ll probably take a good 30 to 45 mins.

So I thought I’ll open this discussion up and see what you ladies think. Would you go for such a treatment? Are you comfortable with idea of having another female massage your bosom for do you feel it’s kind of awkward too?

Well y’know, I’m on the fence about it. One one hand, I think it would be really awkward. But I try to look at it from a health stand point. I mean, the woman is obviously trained and knows what she is doing and the treatment could be very beneficial. Maybe I’m just odd, but I’d try anything once, especially if the environment was professional and is for health reasons. I think that it could even be potentially relaxing massage experience if you just put the awkwardness aside. ?

Hmm personally, I’m generally OK with another woman touching my breasts, and I’ve had them touched by other women during medical check-ups as well as during massage treatments. I’m a little embarrassed of course, but I console myself because they’ve probably seen and touched a multitude of breasts so mine is nothing out of the ordinary I guess ? And plus, I trust their professionalism so it takes much of the embarrassment away.

As for men… err… even if professional and for medical reasons I’d still be a little hesitant haha!

i’m not really hung up about it. i’d do the treatment, my boobs are up for grabs lol. I’ve had them measured and seen by women at high end bra fittings so it’s not that big of a deal to me. I’m more worried about looking fat than them touching my chest.

  4. Soos says:

    No, thanks!

  5. Pollya says:

I don’t think I’ll feel uncomfortable or embarrassed if I really wanted to go for breast treatment. Like one of the above comments says, I’d view it as “semi-medical” and I’m assuming the therapist will be very professional about it (of course must make sure the salon is a reputable one etc). Having said that, I don’t think I’ll EVER go for bust treatment because I already have so much to ‘work on’ getting my complexion into better shape!! ? (Then there’s hair, nails, body fats… … boobs are quite the last thing on my agenda!! :-D)

  6. TaraCrews says:

this is a very sensitive issue and i don’t think i would go for it. i don’t like the feeling someone touching my breasts even if that is the reason for doing…

  7. sesame says:

This one is more like a spa…it’s professional all right but I think of it more as pampering and beautifying.

  8. sesame says:

I don’t mind from a medical perspective. I’ve done mammograms so that’s okay but massage is something else.

  9. sesame says:

Oh even bra fittings? That hasn’t happened…the fittings are always done with the bra on.

  10. sesame says:

    Okay, straight answer!

  11. sesame says:

A bit excessive huh? I guess there are women who are more particular about their body and probably, this group will seek such treatments. I’m like you…boobs are the last on my priorities.

  12. sesame says:

Yeah…I find it awkward and there’s a mental barrier to get over first.

  13. Stephanie/Yukaeshi says:

Ah, I don’t really mind massage-wise because I put the mindset that they’re supposed to be “professionals” and have done this to other sets of breasts countless times… so yeah. Otherwise I might freak out too haha!
    Oh and yes, bra fittings.

  14. EcoBeauty says:

I’m not sure… It might be uncomfortable at first but I think I can deal with it. But my main concern is the professionalism and skill of the therapist and the environment–I’d burn down the salon if the room happens to be bugged or something, lol. Kidding aside, I’m really concerned about the skill, knowledge and how well-trained the therapist is. ‘Cause if she does it wrongly or haphazardly, it’s not gonna be her breasts that’ll sag.

  15. Isadelia Vienna says:

Hey Sesame! Are you going to Tangs tomorrow…? Just wondering ?

  16. Chris says:

When I went (as a teen) to the doctor for my annual physical, he/she would touch my breasts to check for lumps/anomalies. At first I felt bashful about it, but I realized that they do this all the time and it’s for the sake of my health. So I would not mind, as long as she was totally professional about it and it was healthy for me.

  17. vonnie says:

At the fittings, we’d do with and without bra and I’d change them to get different fits and whatnot. I didn’t really mind if the fit lady was in there to see them.

  18. destiny7 says:

    Uh, no thanks!
But there is a Taoist treatment Female Deer Exercise that you can perform on yourself for breast growth and health. You can google how to do this and the benefits.

  19. sesame says:

Oh…Taoist treatment? Sounds strange! I’ll check it out.

  20. sesame says:

I don’t mind being viewed but being touched there is something else. Heheh. I had a female doctor checked my breasts once and you know what she asked me? If they’re real! That was before I had my son and my breasts were quite full. So since then, I was a bit uncomfortable with other women checking out my breasts.

  21. sesame says:

I think doctors are okay if they’re professional but I had encountered some unsavory comments that had turned me off.

  22. sesame says:

Ah? Is there some sale or event? Anyway, I’m working and am also not feeling too well.

  23. sesame says:

You raised a good point about the technique! This one should be professional cos I’ve gone for their facials and their therapists are well trained.

  24. sesame says:

Hurhur…another set of breasts? I think once we can go through the mental barrier, it will be fine. It’s the mental barrier that I can’t get over.

  25. Amanda says:

I don’t think I can bear it. One or two accidental touches are fine, but focusing on that particular area for a prolonged time is a big NO.

  26. Swati says:

I went for a head massage in the summers and when I went there, I realized it involved massage of the entire chest too!!! It was pretty uncomfortable and that was only for 5 minutes and not focused on the bosom area but that’s probably difficult but I have seen people comfortable with it too…

  27. sesame says:

I feel weird even with accidental touches. Examinations are fine but I’ll still can’t get myself to have them massaged. I can do it myself.

  28. sesame says:

I guess it depends on individual cos we have different ‘privacy’ concerns. ?

  29. Lawrence Chee says:

A ‘bust treatment’ shouldn’t just be about boosting your bosoms…more importantly, it should be about keeping your breasts (and you) healthy. Besides, personally, I am quite skeptical that all those advertised bust treatments can actually give you bigger, fuller breasts.
There is increasing concern over the health of women’s breasts. Waste and toxins (from what we eat and/or what we put on our body) do accumulate in the fatty tissues and if not dissolved/flushed out, they can cause problems. So that is what our treatment is about, massage to breakdown/dissolve the toxins as well as to boost the body’s mechanisms to flush it out (such as via the lymphatic system). The massage will help tone and shape the breasts (you might feel ‘fuller’) but that is not the main purpose.
I invited Sesame to try the treatment, hoping that with her review more would be open to give it a try too. It is really about getting over the initially awkwardness…afterwhich, the treatment/sensations should be quite pleasant. And it is about keeping your breasts healthy.
This is just to clarify a few things…warm regards to all! ?
