Fashionably trendy eco-friendly water bottles

So I went shopping for a water bottle for my son and took the opportunity to check out the BROS water bottle that many of you had mentioned. I realized that I had seen them around and yes, they’re a visual delight but the reason I didn’t get them before was because I didn’t quite like the plastic retaining strap on the lid. But the brand comes with plenty of pretty choices, with some looking rather chic and fashionable. So clutching one of these around like a fashion accessory certainly doesn’t look like a bad idea.

Aladdin BPA-free water bottles
I got the Aladdin water bottles instead because I find them really good looking. Plus, they don’t come with the plastic retaining strap, which I find rather annoying. In fact, I’ve got two of the Aladdin bottles in different colors and sizes and I’ll be most happy to get my third bottle from the range if they have an even larger size. The bottles are tough and like the BROS bottles, they’re BPA-free, which means nasty chemicals won’t leach into your water.

Aluminium or steel bottles
If you prefer aluminium or steel bottles, you can always pick from Sigg or Kleen Kanteen that some of you are fond of. I do like their designs but the problem with such bottles is that when you drop them, they get battered and bruised rather badly. They’re also more expensive and don’t hold as much water as I’ll need to drink too.

Look stylish while quenching your thirst
So yeah, like some of you mentioned, carrying a water bottle isn’t ‘aunty’ at all. In fact, you can still look stylish when your water bottles are as trendy looking as these featured. So for those of you who do not have a water bottle on the go, these pretty choices might get you motivated. Oh…for my son, I didn’t get him any of these fanciful water bottles. His bottles are always from Lock & Lock, which are also tough and BPA-free. They’re plain looking but they’re functional and much cheaper, which is really helpful because my son keeps losing his bottle.

haha, to be honest, I actually really like the plastic retainer! It helps drinking, especially for children. I am not a child, but I have this habit of pouring water into my mouth. So with the retainer, I find that it helps to slow the flow, and helps me to drink! LOL.

What I dislike is the strap…I find it messes the way I open the bottle. I had a bottle like that in the past and ended up cutting up the strap.

I use Claytan Sunray ceramic water bottle in the office.. but I dont carry it along with me as its quite heavy.. its made of ceramic so very earth friendly and for sure it does not leak any harmful chemical into my water… I also use lock n lock water bottles on my bag.. to carry around during weekends..

  7. Sesame says:

Oh a ceramic water bottle? Sounds interesting but yeah, should be quite heavy.

Another good eco-friendly water bottle is the Life Factory glass water bottle range for kids and adults. I found some at this site. http://www.water-bottle.co.nz/
