Early last month, I was sent a couple of products from Morcare in UK. This is a line of cosmetics that are formulated with naturally derived ingredients, and made with a strong focus on social responsibility where special care is given to the origin, the cultivation, the method of collection of the raw materials for the further processing. All Morcare products are made to be free of chemical preservatives, PEG, mineral oil, synthetic additives, GMO, and fragrance. In addition, they are not tested on animals and the formulations are said to be non-comedogenic.

Although I received a few of the products, but some of them were not really suitable for my needs and hence, I only tried two of them – the hand cream and the day cream under the Morcaresse range.

Crème Mains (Hand Cream) | 75ml, Euro 9,60

Ingredients: aqua [aqua], propanediol, dicaprylyl ether, acacia decurrens /jojoba/sunflower seed wax/polyglyceryl-3 esters, hypericum perforatum oil, sodium stearoyl lactylate, candelilla/jojoba/rice bran polyglyceryl-3 esters, glyceryl stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, glyceryl undecylenate, parfum [fragrance], lauryl alcohol, alcohol, glyceryl caprylate, calendula officinalis (flower) extract, cetearyl alcohol, squalene, glyceryl dibehenate, sodium hyaluronate, rhizobian gum, squalane, tribehenin, cellulose gum, glyceryl behenate, decyl olive esters, oleic/linoleic/linolenic polyglycerides, xanthan gum, sodium phytate, tocopherol, chondrus crispus (carrageenan) extract, helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed oil

test
Unlike the usual hand creams, Morcare Crème Mains comes with a pump dispenser which make dispensing of the cream easier and less messy. I placed the product in my office and used it around twice a day, each time using just two pumps for both of my hands. It provides sufficient moisture and prevents drying for my hands whenever I am under an air-conditioned room. However, I do not see any brightening or elasticity effect on the skin of my hands even after one month of usage. The cream is beige in color and the scent is overbearing for me as it is a pretty strong musky vanilla. I do like musky and woody fragrances but they may have to consider toning down the vanilla scent which can be off-putting for some people. In fact, the scent is so strong that it still lingers on even after I wash my hands thrice.

Crème de Jour (Day Cream) | 50ml, Euro 26,90

Ingredients: aqua [water], glycerin, dicaprylyl ether, decyl olivate, acacia decurrens/jojoba/sunflower seed wax/polyglyceryl-3 esters, sodium stearoyl lactylate, candelilla/jojoba/rice bran polyglyceryl-3 esters, glyceryl stearate, chondrus crispus (carrageenan) extract, microcrystalline cellulose, glyceryl undecylenate, tricaprylin, parfum [fragrance], glyceryl caprylate, oleic/linoleic/linolenic polyglycerides, squalane, hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid, cetearyl alcohol, sodium carboxymethyl betaglucan, squalene, acer pseudoplatanus extract, glyceryl dibehenate, sambucus nigra flower extract, alcohol, cellulose gum, tribehenin, vitis vinifera (grape) leaf extract, glyceryl behenate, xanthan gum, sodium phytate, lauryl alcohol, tocopherol, helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed oil.

test
This product comes in a 50ml size airtight pump bottle for easy dispensing of the cream. Two to three pumps of the product is sufficient for both my face and neck. Similar to the hand cream, this day cream is beige in color and has a musky vanilla scent. The scent of the day cream is as strong as the hand cream. While I can still tolerate the scent on my hand especially since I can wash my hands more frequently, having the scent lingering on my face for almost the whole day until I cleanse in the evening is rather unbearable. I do not see any significant improvement on my skin after one month of usage. However, my skin felt supple and smooth throughout the day whenever I applied the cream and it is moistening enough even when I was in an air-conditioned environment.

Eco-friendly packaging
Interestingly, the company has a very strong green focus and their packaging are all made to be recyclable and easily disposable. And special attention is made to the type of paper and material for the labeling and boxes to ensure they’re derived from renewable resources.

Availability
Besides the two products reviewed, Morcare offers a few more items in their range, which are all available internationally. You can visit the website to find information on how to place your order. The company is also looking to have their products represented in this region so keen distributors can also get in touch with them.
