Beauty snacking: nutritious snacks made from fruits

I’d mentioned that I snack quite a bit. Believe me, it’s really for survival because without the snacks, my productivity lags! Yes, it’s true. Without them, I’ll be dozing off in front of my PC half the time and I won’t be able to get much done. Yet, I try not to snack on unhealthy food because of obvious reasons. So I’m always on the lookout for healthier snack choices and today, I’ll show you some of the new snacks I’ve been trying.

Snacks made from fruits
If you’ve read part I of my snack choices, you would have noticed that I have quite a sweet tooth. However, the problem is, sugar hastens the breakdown of collagen and elastin. So in my daily sugar fix, I try as much as possible to pick those that are made from natural fruits although I’m not exactly certain how much healthier these really are.

Organic candy drops
These organic candy drops from Yummy Earth are my best discovery and I tell ya, they’re great tasting! In fact, I found myself having to resist them all the time!

Organic rasins
Rasins are an all-time favorite and these organically grown rasins are most satisfying because of their bigger size. Definitely more bite and flavor that pleases me! And they increase my supply of energy too!

Organic dried apricots
These organic dried apricots are great to taste but they’re quite a hazard at the same time. Why? Because over eating them means more toilet trips! But I’ll definitely recommend them if you’re prone to constipation. They’re almost guaranteed to give you more fiber and output! Heheh.

Brown rice rings
I love these crunchy brown rice rings! They’re absolutely delicious and are packed full of crunch too. Although I’m not sure if these are truly healthier, but brown rice sure sounds good to me.

Try some
All right, that’s all my new snacks for now. So if you have a dozing issue in the afternoons, you might want to give some of these a try. Thanks for reading and I hope you didn’t salivate too much along the way. (#k8SjZc9Dxk_#k8SjZc9Dxk)

I don’t like dried fruits. ? But I can take them when they’re mixed with something ‘creamy’ like coconut cream. But I think I won’t have any problems snacking on the rice rings ’cause I like crunchy tidbits.

Hihi, just to share with you a healthy snack I bought recently. Maybe you have seen it. Choc Goji …. wolfberries coated with dark choc. As you know the benefits of wolfberries and dark choc, for choc lover like me, this combination is really great ! Simply love it ! I munch whenever I feel sleepy in the afternoon.

  6. Marla says:

I snack a lot also. Those all look so yummy.

  7. Scott says:

Well..if you can get away with something…why not…in other words as long as your body can tolerate some treats and those treats are not TOTAL junk…which the ones you showed obviously are not..just enjoy them !

  8. Marilyn says:

I tried those jumbo raisins before ! they’re yummy, but pose a real hazard in the form of binge food – gah ! same goes for nuts (natural/fried/in almost any style) and most dried fruits !

Seen those brown rice rings at our local supermarkets ! Should consider getting them, as they’re sold in smaller portions ! i can’t overeat if they ain’t there ?

  9. Juniper says:

I love the Sunview raisins. I prefer the red seedless..jumbo size. I eat them with Quaker oats cereals. Delicious!

  10. Sesame says:

I like it a lot…if you enjoy candies, give it a go. You might like it too.

  11. Sesame says:

Oh I wanted to try but was a bit deterred by the choc cos I wasn’t sure if it’ll cos me breakouts cos some do. I’ll be sure to try it next time. ?

  12. Sesame says:

    Yeah, they are ymmmy. ?

  13. Sesame says:

Actually I struggle with the idea if these are junk or not cos most of them are still very sweet. But I take comfort that I burn them away while thinking hard. LOL.

  14. Sesame says:

Yes…binge food! Arrgh…I have a tummy now. I haven’t see the smaller portions though – must keep my eyes peeled.

  15. Sesame says:

    Oh nice…sounds healthy too!

  16. swati says:

I am literally binging on sugar these days!!! thanks for heads up on collagen breakdown ? hope this helps break my binging mode.

  17. Destiny7 says:

We have a new crunchy snack in the US, Pop Corners. Its popcorn in a chip shape. I like the salty sweet Kettle Corn ones.

  18. Sesame says:

Haha…it didn’t deter me that much. Was secretly hoping the fruits don’t cause the same problems.

  19. Sesame says:

I don’t think we have that here. But pop corns are too addictive! Haha…

  20. Pollya says:

I was going to mention Chocgoji too! cos I love dark chocolate so the combination with wolfberries seems to make it the ideal healthy snack! But actually, too much sugar or snacks can’t be healthy in the first place, haha!! And Chocgoji is actually not cheap – each pack is almost $4, and I can easily gulp down one whole pack in 1 sitting! So everything in moderation… for the body and for the pocket!! ?
For the brown rice rings, I actually prefer the cheese flavour, altho it’s more “powdery” for the hands. Can’t get over the chocolate flavour tho, find that the choc powder doesn’t “gel” well with the rings — wonder if anybody really buys/likes that flavour…

  21. Sesame says:

Okay, must go try the Chocgoji soon! And yeah, it’s not cheap.
