Eating pineapple daily helps keep my tummy flatter

eating pineapple flattens tummy
Almost every day, I try to eat a slice of pineapple. I love the taste and of course, the high dose of vitamin C in the fruit. But most of all, I’ve found that eating a slice of pineapple daily helps keep my tummy flatter effortlessly. I know some of you are reading this with much skepticism but I’m telling you that it works for me.

Pineapples and slimming
In fact, I’ve written about the link between pineapples and slimming back in 2008. At that time, I was eating a lot of pineapples and it caused me to lose weight pretty drastically. But the amount of pineapples that I was consuming also caused me to suffer from constant backache. As a result, I stopped eating pineapples totally. Until this year.

Good source of bromelain enzyme
To recap, what I’ve discovered back in 2008 is that pineapple is a good source of manganese and contains significant amounts of Vitamin C and Vitamin B1. In addition, the fruit contains an enzyme called bromelain that aids digestion and helps prevent inflammation and swelling.

Bromelain and slimming pills
Bromelain is popularly used in slimming pills with claims that it can help to break down body fat and enables slimmers to lose weight effortlessly. However, this claim has not been backed up and it is said that bromelain, like any other protein in the gut, would be digested and should have no action on body weight.

Vitamin B1 (Thiamine) and weight loss
But pineapples also contains Vitamin B1 (Thiamine) which is said to help metabolize carbohydrates. When I searched about this vitamin, it came up in a lot of weight loss resource websites!

Great for detox
Anyway, you can run a search on your own and you’ll discover many articles written about pineapples and flatter tummies. I don’t like to exercise and I sit a lot daily. Surprisingly, my tummy isn’t all that fat and that’s how I know eating pineapples works for me. In addition, I’ve found pineapples to be a great detox fruit as it aids in cleansing the colon—naturally removing oil, fat and toxins that may have become lodged deep in the colon tract. I just wish that it also helps to keep the fats off my butt!

Do you like eating pineapples?
So any of you like to eat pineapples as much as I do? I like eating the fruit over drinking the juice though. And pineapples are great eaten on its own or served with salad or a meat dish. It’s one of those foods that I can eat daily and still crave for more!

i love pineapples! Used to eat it daily too until some people tell me that pineapples are actually bad for the stomach due to its ‘sharpness’. it can cause the stomach lining to become thin as time goes by. Therefore I stopped eating them regularly! Now i’m itching to start again..flat tummy?? Oh yeah, baby!!

If you take those honey pineapples, they don’t cut that much. Avoid eating the brown stuff from the skin.

Oh how interesting! I never knew.

I didn’t hear about the thinning stomach lining. Hmmm…but I guess moderation is key.

I love pineapple slices. I also love drinking the juice, but I try to cut back since it can be very acidic. I typically drink spinach smoothies for a flatter tummy. I blend fresh spinach, almond milk, one banana and golden flaxseeds for a smoothie. I carry it with me to work in a sealable bottle.

Spinach for fatter tummy? How interesting! Unfortunately, I dislike the taste. But your smoothie certainly sounds delish.

  11. Chris says:

Actually, you can’t taste it in mine. ? I put in one handful of spinach, and I add maybe 1.5 cups of milk. Adding a banana makes it sweeter and more tasty. If you put in less spinach this also helps diminish any spinach taste.

Wow. That’s nice to know ? I love pineapple, but I really hate having to cut it, and buying the cut up pineapple fruit salad can be quite expensive over time. Haha. In result, I don’t eat it that often. But still, it’s good to know ? Maybe I’ll make more effort to eat more pineapple.

It’s true. I find a supply here at $0.50 per slice. Probably the best deal. But I try to get a whole pineapple and have my hubby cut it once a week. ?

Love pineapples! Yum! And I love to put a little fresh juice on my face, too as a clarifying mask. Grilled pineapple is the best!

I tried using pineapples on my skin before and it stings quite a bit. But the ingredient is good to reduce wrinkles when used topically.

  17. Destiny7 says:

Wow! Great tip! I have been drinking coconut water, frozen pineapple, banana and kale smoothies in the last few weeks. I find they help me sleep better…not an expected result. Will look for a flatter stomach!

  18. Sesame says:

Interesting about the sleep bit. I haven’t really noticed. Perhaps it’s the combination you’ve concocted that helps.
