Eating too much salt can aggravate acne

Seems that every week I’m posting something about acne. Unfortunately, it’s a topic of concern to me currently so naturally, it’ll get a lot of attention here. Anyway, I’ve been thinking real hard about the cause of my acne and while I think it’s hormonal imbalance, I suspect that there could be other reasons triggering them.

I spotted this interesting information about our blood type that highlights the health and nutrition information that corresponds to our exact biological profile. These look like roadmaps from Dr. Peter D’Adamo’s Eat Right For Your Type, which state that our blood type is the most important factor in determining a healthy diet and how a blood type diet can help with weight loss and even slow down our aging process. We’ve often been told to adopt a balanced diet but if Dr D’Adamo is right, then the balanced diet for each of us actually differs according to our blood type.

A colleague of mine was talking about preparing a Christmas meal consisting of turkey, salmon, beef and log cake. And inevitably, someone mentioned that it’s so easy to put on weight during this holiday season since all the partying will involve eating. Well, it’s quite hard to avoid good food of course but if you’re concerned about weight gain, then you might want to follow what the Japanese preach – eat slowly.

This is an update to my post on evening primrose oil. A comment left by Ann about her aunt gave me some concern and I decided to run more research into the topic. Apparently, her aunt was diagnosed with breast cancer and according to her doctor, the food she ate – namely, evening primrose oil and bean curd (douhua) – may have contributed to that.
