I was a pimpled teenager growing up, and I had a terrible back full of acne scars. Ashamed by those scars, I always made sure to cover up whenever I was going out. I’ve tried many products that claimed to lighten scars, and for a period of time I even resorted to using my facial wash for my back. But as you guessed it, none of them worked. Yet, who knew my cure would come in the form of a peculiar looking little root vegetable known as beetroot.
Ayurvedic diet: a holistic approach to total beauty
Detoxing, apart from losing weight, is also known for improving one’s skin through foods. It is during this detox period where people abstain from certain food and eat more of those that are highly beneficial to the body to efficiently cure any complexion problems. I was actually looking for detoxes for myself when I had acne problems and that’s how I came across this Ayurvedic diet. As I read and found out more, I believe an Ayurvedic diet is the equivalent of the Chinese concept of ‘heaty’ and ‘cooling’ foods.
Cell-Gen AH antioxidant water system for anti-aging
Today’s post is about my experience with the Cell-Gen Activated Hydrogen Water System installed in my home since a month ago. It’s pretty amazing how a simple system like that can actually change my perspective on the water I drink and use daily. So now, I bring my own water out every day, I no longer purchase distilled or mineral water, and I also no longer use the commercial face mists available in the market. As a matter of fact, I don’t even use tap water to rinse my face and hair now.
Oats: a great all-rounder for health and beauty
Oats are great for health and beauty and you can choose to use them topically or well, just eat them. Instead of your usual breakfast, consider eating oats, which can increase your fiber intake to help keep your skin blemish-free and clear. Personally, I don’t like feeling bloated first thing in the morning and so I find that having oats in place of bread and cereal makes me more energized and keeps me from snacking or feeling hungry for longer. Usually, I start preparing the oats around 20 minutes after drinking my morning green smoothies, so as not get them both mixed up during digestion.
