Canmake Eyelash Essence for longer lashes
Sunday, 4 May 2008While writing my entry on Eucerin Hyaluron-Filler Eye Treatment last week, I came across many forumers raving about Canmake Eyelash Essence which is an eyelash base that increases volume while also conditioning damaged eyelashes. In fact, 14 reviewers at Makeupalley also gave the product the thumbs up, contributing to the 4.4 out of 5 rating.
Most of them reported results after using it for about two weeks and the best part is that it only cost S$13.90, compared to the other more expensive brands like Talika or Mavala.
Described as containing conditioning agents panthenol and lavender extract, this product helps protect your lashes throughout the day, hydrating them and providing them with greater firmness. Because it is transparent, you can also use it as a base before using an eyelash curler to give your lashes a longer-lasting curl or as a base for your mascara, increasing volume and helping in the application.
So if you’re in the market for a cost effective eyelash product, check out Canmake Eye Lash Essence. In Singapore, you can find it at selected Watson’s such as those at Bugis, Parkway Parade, Ang Mo Kio, Toa Payoh, Junction 8 and Ngee Ann City as well as Guardian at Suntec City.

New Fasio Shock Free Mascara
Monday, 25 February 2008Heads up girls! If you’re one of those who love the mascaras from Fasio, then you’ll be interested in their brand new Fasio Shock Free Mascara. It looks like another winner if the product really performs the way it’s seen on the TVCM starring Aya Ueto - smudge proof and all with super staying power despite the number of eye rubs!
Besides, Fasio has one of the best mascaras in the market, performance and price wise. Its Fasio Power-Stay Mascara 3D range was a hit with many girls. So this new product shouldn’t be too far off and may yet be another star product of Fasio. Hopefully though, it’ll be less difficult to remove because that was the usual complaint for Fasio Power-Stay Mascara 3D.
But alas…Fasio Shock Free Mascara is too new, so you’ll have to wait for it to hit the shelves here.

Kanebo Coffret D’or: Celebrities galore
Wednesday, 16 January 2008Kou Shibasaki (柴咲コウ) and Tokiwa Takako (常盤貴子)
Miki Nakatani (中谷美紀)
Erika Sawajiri (沢尻エリカ) and Keiko Kitagawa (北川景子)
Coffret D’or, which is Kanebo’s new makeup line replacing T’estimo and Revue, was launched in Japan on 16 December 2007 with a mega production commercial featuring five Japanese celebrities - Kou Shibasaki, Tokiwa Takako, Miki Nakatani, Erika Sawajiri and Keiko Kitagawa.
Of the five, my favorite look is that of Kou Shibasaki and Takiwa Takako. Very sultry, really sexy. And check out the lovely dresses of Kou Shibasaki and Keiko Kitagawa in the commercial. The stylist must have paid attention to the 2008 fashion trends as I definitely saw lots of ruffles there!
In terms of products, the Kanebo Coffret D’or range include the Coffret D’or Color Blush, Coffret D’or Designing Mascara Natural, Coffret D’or Natural Clear Liner, Coffret D’or Star Dazzling Liner, Coffret D’or Mascara Base, Coffret D’or Full Styling Rouge Color and Coffret D’or Full Styling Rouge Glow in various shades.
Also available is the Coffret D’or 3D Lighting Eyes available in 5 different shades - 01 Pink Variation, 02 Blue Green Variation, 03 Silver Variation, 04 Purple Variation and 05 Gold Variation. In fact, A Touch of Blusher already has a review on the 04 Purple Variation which you may like to check out.
I’m actually quite keen to get my hands on Coffret D’or Shiny Carat Gloss and the latest addition, Coffret D’Or Dual Purpose Lip Colors, which is a slim lipstick that doubles as a lip liner. However, I would have to get it online as the range will not hit Singapore shores till February at the earliest.
And while I’m at that, go ogle at the lovelies at the Coffret D’or website and tell me who is your favorite.
