Beauty makeovers: what would you like to be?

Shisedo Beauty makeovers: what would you like to be?

A glamorous babe? An enhanted princess? Or maybe a runaway model? For me, I’m not quite sure. Maybe it’s the punk rock inspiration complete with smoky eyes and disheveled style although I doubt I can carry it off because it it takes a certain kind of attitude to look that part too. So I had no idea what to expect when I was invited to the Shiseido makeover session on Thursday. I accepted the invitation out for some quest for fun, but really, I was slightly afraid that they’re going to make me look over-the-top! The last time I had a makeover was during my wedding and I could hardly recognize myself with all the heavy makeup. I was literally, uncomfortable in my own skin!

Yukuko Tanaka face contouring and anti-aging massage

Recently, I received a query from Lina if I’ve come across Japanese beauty expert Yukuko Tanaka (田中宥久子) and her Zogan face contouring massage techniques (塑颜按摩法).  Lina is from the Essential Day Spa forum and according to her, a number of them at the forum are interested in this technique but because of the language, are having some difficulty figuring it all out.  I visited the thread and found that a number of them have given positive reviews after trying the massage techniques for just a week or more.

Cure Natural Aqua Gel to keep skin smooth

You got to give it to the Japanese for creating interesting products that make you want to buy them, even though you may not actually need them. Take Cure Natural Aqua Gel from Japan for example. It’s one of those products I can do without but after months of checking it out everytime I’m at Watsons, I finally caved it and bought a bottle. AtS$38, it’s not cheap but I wanted to know how well it works since a number of users were raving about this and it’s said that “one bottle is sold every 20 seconds in Japan”!

Review: DHC Camu-Camu Essence & Masks

Camu camu Whitening Essence Review: DHC Camu Camu Essence & Masks

This is a guest review by Jyoan of Positively Nice. The products she tested were sent complimentary by Watsons.

I was elated when I learned that DHC was going to be available here – as like many girls out there, I have also heard of the incredibly famous DHC Olive Cleansing Oil. I am a fan of cleansing oils, and I don’t mind another bottle to try, especially since the Olive Cleansing Oil is known to be gentle on the skin, yet very effective. However, here I’m reviewing DHC’s products outside of their Olive range and they are:
1. Camu-camu Whitening Essence
2. Suncut Q10 Sheets Body
3. Coenzyme Q10 Pack Sheet
