For a change, I reverted back to red nail polish this week. This in fact, is the first nail colour I used. OPI SoHo Nice To Meet You. I love this shimmering red tone. Rich, but not too bright or gaudy. Two coats after OPI Start To Finish then sealed with Mavala ColorFix and I’m good to go with any shoes or clothes!
Whether you do your own nails or have it done, you should own at least one of Mavala Colorfix. This is possibily the best top coat ever. Yes, even better than OPI’s.
Mavala Colorfix is a clear top enamel that dries to a hard elastic glaze and provides nail color with an extra protective armor against chipping and peeling. Reinforced with acryl, Colorfix contributes a brilliant sheen to nail colour and “fixes” it, forming an extra protective shield against flaking. In fact, I find that it can fix uneven nail coating and is even able to cover up little bubbles.
Chanel Black Satin nail polish maybe hot but it may not suit everyone. And really, what’s so fun if everyone is going around town with black nails? Lucky there are alternatives to set you apart, yet allow you to still have some drama, nail-wise.
Consider navy blue and midnight blue polish which are current hots. Check out Blueberry Glaze from Misa, Kabaret from Nails Inc, Up All Night from China Glaze or Midnight Magic from CoverGirl. Totally bluish and vampy.
Much has been reported about the hidden danger lurking for women getting pedicures performed in whirlpool foot baths in nail salons. If the tub is not properly disinfected, users could end up getting Mycobacterium fortuitum bacterial infections which start out as boils and turn into oozing sores, often leaving disfiguring scars.
Apart from such bacterial skin infections, users can also get fungal nail infections, viral infections and in the worst scenarios, even blood-borne viral diseases hepatitis B and C, possibly resulting in cancer of the liver.
