Does your eye cream give you longer eyelashes?

I wonder if any of you have this experience of having your eyelashes lengthened from using your eye cream or eye gel? I did when I was using Eucerin Hyaluron-Filler Wrinkle-Filling Eye Treatment two years ago and I later found out that hyaluronic acid, an active ingredient in the product, can actually stimulate hair growth. Well, I’ve not been using this eye cream anymore and in place, I now use True Bio Skin Care Active Eye Gel in the day and Organic Apoteke Rejuvenating Eye Cream in the night. And guess what? My eyelashes are longer and fuller!  I did some research on the ingredients in these two products and found at least two to three active ingredients in them actually promoting hair growth!

Packaging symbols & labels: do you care?

I didn’t notice the “No Animal Testing” logo on my Burt’s Bees Very Volumizing Shampoo until yesterday, when I was checking the bottle for any description stating that it is pH balanced. Except for the ingredients and those communicating use and saftey, I usually do not scrutinize the other symbols on the packaging and some of these labelings really mean nothing to me.

When your fave product changes formulation

What do you do? Tear your hair out? Scream at the company? Gripe bitterly? Okay, I choose to gripe here. WHY? WHY? WHY?

I hadn’t realized that Marie Veronique Organics had changed the name of their sunscreens until I read a comment from Yings. She wanted to know if the new Moisturizing Face Screen Plus is the same as Creme de Soleil that I have been raving about. I knew they were revamping their website but I had no idea that they also revamped their product lines! And when I took a quick look at the ingredients, it looks like the formulation has changed slightly too as Moisturizing Face Screen Plus and Moisturizing Face Screen have 24% Zinc Oxide as opposed to 20% in the Creme de Soleil and Creme de Jour!

Glycerin: soften skin but maybe drying?

I was quite surprised to see the following comment from Betty Brock in one of my entries concerning the usage of body lotion. In the comment, she stated that body lotion shouldn’t be used as a hand cream as it isn’t rich enough. In addition, she wrote something about avoiding glycerin as a key ingredient in hand creams.
