Can tinted sunscreens replace foundations?

Tinted Sunscreen

I’ve never tried a tinted sunscreen until recently when I tested the sample from Marie-Veronique Organics and I’m hooked! It worked so nicely as a makeup base in place of a liquid foundation, giving me an almost flawless finishing after applying my powder! Going forward, I’m definitely going to order the tinted version of this sunscreen as it only cost a dollar more.

Prescriptives Well-Suited Fall Color Collection

Prescriptives Well Suited Collection

Look what came in my mail this week all the way from the States! It’s the new Well-Suited, Prescriptives Fall 2009 Color Collection just launched this month! I vaguely recalled the PR folks at Prescriptives asking for my address awhile back but no one had informed me to expect anything. So this was really a pleasant surprise, especially because the packaging is so appealing!

Kabuki brushes: animal or synthetic hair?

kabuki brushes

I love using Kabuki brushes to apply my foundation, whether I am using mineral or compact powder. They work better than sponges for me. I have Kabuki brushes using animal as well as synthetic hair. I alternate between the two, loving them for different reasons. Today, I like to make a comparison of the two based on some common properties.

Review: Skinfood Rice Concealer Tip

Skinfood rice concealer

I was clearing some of my old cosmetics when I came across this Skinfood Rice Concealer Tip. I’ve forgotten to review this because I’ve only used this twice and promptly chucked it aside.

I purchased this after reading some raves on it. However, it did not work well on me. The two times I applied this under my eye as a concealer, I experienced bad smudging after a few hours and so I gave up. I’m not sure why since others have good reviews on the product. I can only think that it is perhaps not suitable for my skin type as my undereye area can get rather oily.
