Review: SkinFood Buckwheat Loose Powder

SkinFood Buckwheat Powder

I got this Buckwheat Loose Powder from SkinFood quite awhile back.  Used it a couple of times and plain forgot about it.   It’s a fairly fine loose powder with above average oil control.  However, as with all loose powder, you’ll need to use it with a foundation or makeup base to get sufficient coverage.  So, being lazy, I stopped using it after a few applications.  In addition, I was introduced to mineral makeup and found the latter better performing.

Paul & Joe pretty limited edition lipsticks

I haven’t had the urge to buy lipsticks for awhile now.  Until I saw these.  Paul & Joe lipsticks with interestingly designed print case from Dear Pleasure and Chocoholic under their Sparkles Collection.  Don’t they look so pretty?  Good thing for me was that I was given the one from Chocoholic free.

Review: Paul & Joe Dual Powder Foundation

It’s been almost a year I stayed off using powder foundation after I discovered mineral makeup. No, I haven’t sworn off it of course.  I merely took a break from it.  Actually, on and off, I tried putting on powder foundation again but I totally detest that cakey look now.  But I was opened to trying brands that are said to give that natural sheer look.  Like French-Japanese makeup line Paul and Joe.

Mineral makeup is causing my face to itch

Mineral makeup

I never imagined I would suffer from a breakout from using skincare or makeup but yes, it had to happened.  I am suffering from a bout of bad itchy rash on my forehead and under my eye area which is refusing to subside quickly.  After examining my skincare routine and makeup, I believe the culprit to be a matt mineral veil from Ferro Cosmetics that I was using for half a day yesterday.  This is the second time I’ve used the product.  The first time I wore it for a short duration when I was testing the line of makeup and I recalled my forehead being itchy too.
