Makeup sponge or brush for mineral foundation?

I never talked about my beauty goal for this year but one of them is actually to use more natural makeup. So the first thing I did was to switch back to using mineral makeup, thanks to the customized mineral foundation from Lolita New York. I did not lay my hands immediately upon receiving it but only started using it recently. As some of you may know, I was using using several brands of mineral makeup for over a year but when my skin broke out in acne, I gave them up because the coverage just wasn’t good enough for me. Well, I just realized that perhaps using kabuki brushes ain’t so great for my acne blemished skin afterall when it comes to MMU.

Chinese New Year FOTD & ang pows galore

Hello VivaBellas! How was the break for those of you who celebrated Chinese New Year? I think most of us ate too much. I noticed that my cheeks are much rounder than before! But that’s a good sign for me because I need some fats!

Anyway, my cheongsam outfit received a number of compliments so I think my husband must be the exception. Here is a glimpse of it and I’ll run a more detailed review along with another outfit I wore for the second day in another week or so.

Don’t sweat the makeup if you perspire buckets

Do you perspire a lot? Well, I don’t. But I do know that perspiration, when combined with makeup, isn’t good news for our skin. In fact, it may result in pimples and in some instances, something call sweat acne. So perhaps it’s a good idea not to use makeup when you’re into any of the following activities:

Are you blending away your mineral sunscreen?

I had a question for myself recently while I was applying my makeup: did I just apply away my sunscreen? Okay, this sounds like a trivia question but well, for a skincare fanatic when it comes to the area of sun protection, nothing is too trivia eh?
