DIY Beauty: green tea facial wash & toner

green-tea

I received an email from a reader Junita Ali this week who kindly shared a few DIY recipes that are being used by the Korean celebrities. Junita, who is a huge K-entertainment fan told me she obtained the recipes which were translated and posted at the beauty and fashion section of the Soompi Forum. I was particularly interested in the recipe of using green tea used by Kim Nam Joo because green tea is something I’ve wanted to try for awhile but I wanted something really easy. And this recipe cannot get any easier!

DIY lipstick

I came across this very interesting DIY beauty tip while reading the January issue of InStyle magazine during my hair cut.  Making our own customized lipstick out of lip balm!  And it’s so easy!  All you need is a tube or tin of lip balm, a blush powder and an empty container.

diy-cleansing-oil

This is the cleansing oil I made during the DIY skin care workshop at Jayeon Miyin in December and I use it whenever I need to remove my makeup these days. It’s similar to those commercial oil cleansers I’ve tried, is very gentle and not too oily but it gets rid of my makeup well. It turns into a sort of milky lotion on contact with water and although it is said to be able to clean the face by itself, I still found myself having to use a soap or foaming facial after using it.

DIY Beauty: Nutmeg to erase acne scars

nutmeg-honey

Nutmeg, a cooking and baking spice, is often cited as a kitchen ingredient which you can use for your acne scars and blemished marks. I have come across the recipe of using nutmeg and honey but the idea of using spice of my face just didn’t appeal to me, until Leon of Beauty Secrets Revealed suggested it when I complaint about my cheek acne scars.
