DIY Beauty: making my own sun protection oil

I’ve been using a DIY sun protection oil for quite awhile now under my daily sunscreen moisturizer. It’s quite easy to make and essentially, you only need two ingredients. One is a carrier oil with some UV protection properties and another is Astaxanthin, which is a powerful antioxidant that also protects our skin against the sun when applied topically. It’s been working well for me although I have to say it does give my face an orangey hue if I don’t put on some sort of powder.

DIY Beauty: fix your cracked heels with rice vinegar

You don’t like the smell of vinegar? Neither do I! But vinegar is a magic seasoning in some of my dishes that will make my son devour his food in double-quick time. Interestingly, just the other day, I was hit by an inspiration to create a DIY cuticle pen dupe while I was happily nourishing my cuticles on the go.

I think I must have spent quite a lot just buying lip balms and eventually, I decided that I should just experiment making my very own natural lip balm.
