I know many of you who read my blog are for aging in the most natural possible way and you support my stand to use natural/organic skincare products too. I also know many who read my blog are skeptics and don’t believe that natural is worth anything skin deep. I have had some people writing to me telling me that there’s only so much that natural skincare can do and beyond that, we need more “help” aesthetically. I don’t deny that there is a limit that natural/organic skincare can do but I also question if it’s that necessary to receive all the aesthetic treatments. Sure, I think my face would look better with some botox jabs and some fillers but I just can’t bring myself to go for them. So let me show you how my face is doing now without going for facials, without going for any aesthetic treatments and using mostly natural/organic skincare products. You be the judge and tell me if natural is all that bad okay?
Can natural skincare products improve complexion?
DIY Beauty: organic wax strips to rid unwanted hair
I believe the idea of waxing is no longer a novelty, as more young ladies are making an effort to visit waxing parlors either for that bikini wax or to remove excessive body hair. While the packages and prices in these waxing parlors can be quite steep and a deterrent for some, others could be avoiding such services altogether because they’re just uncomfortable to have a stranger wax hair off their intimate body area. If this is the case for you, why not consider making your own affordable wax and have a do-it-yourself session at home then?
DIY Beauty: 5-steps to the perfect at home facial
There was a time I used to go for facials frequently and it was even as often as weekly at one stage. However, due to the lack of time, I hardly go for facials these days. However, I don’t see my skin condition looking any worse because I do take quite good care of it at home. I have a routine that is quite similar to what you see in the Infographics below, except that I don’t steam my face. I just wash my face with warm water.
DIY Beauty: making my own sun protection oil
I’ve been using a DIY sun protection oil for quite awhile now under my daily sunscreen moisturizer. It’s quite easy to make and essentially, you only need two ingredients. One is a carrier oil with some UV protection properties and another is Astaxanthin, which is a powerful antioxidant that also protects our skin against the sun when applied topically. It’s been working well for me although I have to say it does give my face an orangey hue if I don’t put on some sort of powder.
