We often hear that soap bars are bad for our skin. But is it really? Whilst at Bud Cosmetics last week, I posed this question to owner Eric Chew since he used to make his own soaps in Australia. And his answer? It’s not true. It really depends on the soap content.
The last dermatologist I visited snubbed at organic skincare. I don’t blame him given that his is an industry that is driven by groundbreaking formulas in cosmeceutical science and promise of immediate results. There also wasn’t an organic skincare range that was used and recommended by dermatologists at all. And I was pleasantly surprised to find the little shop so well stocked! I don’t know why I never discovered the gem earlier!
I received a sample of the Deep Cleansing Scrub which is a dry mix from Yours Essentially about three weeks ago. I have heard of some ladies who love using such DIY scrubs and masks and was fairly keen to try this. And since I had the hydrosols on hand, it was easier for me to use those as the wetting agent to the scrub.
