As I mentioned over the weekend, my eyes were hurting and they were actually puffy or maybe I should say swollen. I hadn’t realized until I was at the hair salon as I was facing the mirror for a good hour or so. When I came home, I immediately tried to relieve the puffiness with the simple eye massage by applying self acupressure around my eyes. Actually, I have been kind of lazy and haven’t been doing this for awhile but the technique is really helpful and quite a puffy eye savior.
Today, I’ll post a quick review of my favorite face lifting massage plus cheek toning and neck firming exercises that I’ve been doing for the past two months. If you’re a subscriber to my newsletter, you would have noticed I kept mentioning the Tanaka face contouring massage. Well, that’s because I’ve been seeing some positive results after using her techniques consistently on a daily basis for the past two months or so. I wouldn’t say I’ve been very diligent as there are 11 steps in her Zogan massage but I only use the first 9 steps. However, I do see my face more lifted as a whole.
A couple of years ago, I took yoga and was taught the Alternate Nostril Breathing, also known as Nadi Shuddhi Pranayama. It was relatively easy and I practiced it for awhile, but as usual, gave up subsequently due to laziness and distractions. Those who are learning yoga or have picked up yoga would know that breathing is essential as your nose is directly linked to your brain and nervous system and breathing right can help to oxygenate the cells of your body, from your brain to your vital organs.
One of my beauty goals is to firm up my neck so that it can correspond to the look of my face. What I mean is that if I’m want to look younger, then my neck has to reflect that as well. No point having a lovely complexion with firm skin on my face when my neck is going to be a dead giveaway of my true age!
