SuperNature: one-stop organic lifestyle store

It was quite a hot afternoon when I visited SuperNature, a store located at Park House, a condominium in Orchard Boulevard. I had great difficulty locating the place and finally arrived like half an hour later than scheduled perspiring from the heat and as you’ve guessed it, feeling quite flustered. In fact, I almost wanted to give up half way but good thing I didn’t, because my moods were lifted as soon as I saw the many rows of natural and organic skin care products in the 4,500 square feet store. Honestly, I was only expecting a small selection of beauty products in the organic store especially since the website wasn’t that telling and the focus seems to be on food and groceries…so boy was I surprised!

Kiehl’s: The apothecary with an eco heart

I wouldn’t consider Kiehl’s to be a natural and organic company, although they have recently launched the Acai Berry Damage-Repairing Organic Skincare range. However, I like the company because they strike me as one that provides eco-effective quality products focused on efficacy without the embellishments. On top of that, they are probably one of the few who truly incorporate socially responsible manufacturing practices in their business operations.

Brand spanking new launches from Bliss Spa

Those of you in United States may have already seen these products from Bliss. In fact, the Bliss Triple Oxygen + C Energizing Cream has just been launched for a couple of weeks but is already said to be a best seller, with more than 1,000 tubs sold a week or one tub sold every 5 minutes! However, locals in Singapore will have to wait till April to get their hands on the Bliss Triple Oxygen + C Energizing Cream that will retail at S$80.

Natural & organic nook at Chinatown

It may have been two years since I last stepped foot in Dragon Dors Cosmetics at People’s Park Complex in Chinatown. This is the store I first got hold of Burt’s Bees products and perhaps the one that got me more interested in natural and organic skin care products. The store is like your neighborhood shop and is owned by a mother and son team, Anna and Sunny, the latter who reminded me so much of one of the members of Mayday (五月天), Taiwan’s no. 1 rock group with his long tresses and tatoos.
