Holistic healing Gua Sha face therapy at Geranium

I came to know Grace of Geranium when she was still operating out of a mobile cart at Suntec City. She was also the one who got me interested in the use of essential oils. At that time, I’ve already learnt that she was providing facial service out of her home and hence, it came as no surprise when I later found out that she has set up shop at The Central. What surprised me though is that her holistic healing face therapy is based on Gua Sha, an ancient Chinese therapy that involves scraping the skin to promote blood circulation and removing toxic. I’ve never really had my face fully Gua Sha-ed, and so I was gamed for a trial when Grace invited me to a complimentary session.

Hair pampering at Phyto Hair Spa in Wheelock

Some of you would have read of how I used to suffer from a lower self-esteem because of the state of my hair. So hair treatments are not new to me but this is the first time I visited a hair spa. While I’m familiar with Phyto for their retail products, I have no idea that they also offer specialized and exclusive hair treatment services over at Phyto Hair Spa by Revamp in Wheelock. In fact, I later learnt that this is the first exclusive Phyto hair spa in Asia.

Pampering Elemental Herbology Facial @ Sccube

It’s been about two months since my last facial and earlier this week, I went for a Elemental Herbology Facial, complimentary from Sccube the Apothecary located at #03-19A, The Centrepoint. I do get invites for facials on and off but I usually turn them down or arrange for guest reviewers to go in my place instead. However, I was interested to try this particular one myself because it’s a manual lymphatic drainage treatment using a natural range of products and I wanted to see how different it is from my usual facial. Anyhow, it’s been awhile since I last reviewed a facial and I thought I can share my experience in a slightly different format this round.

Lomi Lomi traditional massage at St. Gregory

When I was invited to a complimentary body massage at St. Gregory in Park Royal Hotel, I wondered if it was the same spa I used to visit for my Javanese facial about nine years ago. It was strange that I am familiar with the name because of their Tui Na Massage my husband had tried but had actually clean forgotten that this used to be the fitness club we got our gym fix for about a year then! It was only when I took a lift up the fourth level of the hotel that I had a sense of dejavu walking down the long corridor to get to the spa. A nice warmth feeling I must add because it reminded me of my carefree life then!
